About this item:
The Carpenter's axe is best suited for carpentry and other wood work. Recess in the head so that the hand gets as close as possible to the cutting edge for maximum control. Comes with an edge cover in leather. The head is attached to the handle using both a wooden and a steel wedge to secure fastening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una muy grata sorpresa!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good Swedish made axe!
Love it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Hults Bruk at an affordable price.
I love this axe. The hang is beautifully done and the grain orientation is perfect. Husqvarna axes are hand forged by Hults Bruk, and much more affordable. If you're looking at a Gransfors Small Forest Axe but can't shell out the 200, I'd say this is a viable alternative, even if the axe head weighs a little more.
4.0 out of 5 stars Looks ok
Head looks different than the ad pic.The bottom edge is quite square and the edge angle is much more abrupt than the pic ( which is as it should be ). I’ll deal with that with a file and stones.Handle is good, mask is well made.Much cheaper than a Gransfors, but the edge does need work.Overall, pretty good tool
5.0 out of 5 stars A perfectly sized "camp" axe for a multitude of uses.
Don't lie. If you just wanted an axe to chop some wood, you wouldn't be looking at this bad boy. This axe? It is destined for mobility and compact; you're an adventurer. A wanna-be-bush-craft-maniac. Maybe you daydream of crafting your own 2x4s and getting wood shavings stuck in your beard. But you don't want to spend the $150-300 for an axe you'll probably ruin from neglect... but you want the quality. This, my friends, is your axe.The axe head is clearly made by Hultafors/Hulks Bruk. It has the same exact shape and even the logo stamp area is the same. So you know Husqvarna just got a sweet deal on axe head forging from them and slaps an American wood handle into these things. Who can complain about an amazingly forged Swedish steel axe head and American hilt for a fraction of the price? You're buying this axe because you want something that is a little good at everything but is not limited to one expert function (such as a splitting maul or a little hatchet). My only warning about this axe is that the head is heavy for the handle length. You will tire faster using this axe than say a hatchet with only a 1lb head or so. Trust me. The bonus is that if you are talented and practice how to properly chop wood in whatever manner you have... you'll find this thick bad boy axe head will cleave along grain like a hot knife through butter. Seriously. I cut up a fallen ash tree like it was made out playdough with this thing. Most axes come pretty dull except for Hulks Bruk and Gransfors Bruk, but this one came pretty sharp for me. Not razor sharp but definitely field ready. The handle is nice and has clearly been sanded, but there is the slight twinge of natural grit to it. If you want your handle to be smooth... save yourself $100 by not buying a Hulks Bruk equivalent. Buy $2 worth of sandpaper and after ten minutes you'll have a perfectly great handle. This is a great axe. Just inspect it when you get it --- mine had perfect grain orientation and no nicks or damages to the axe head.
5.0 out of 5 stars A great large hatchet
Five star axe head, four star handle.Great hatch for backpacking and camp chores. While the hatchet cuts deep and splits firewood well splitting isn’t its strongest feature. It certainly can but you are using your muscles rather than the weight of the head. The axe sharpens well with a file or puck. The handle grain orientation was excellent. I did need to sand the handle down and treat with linseed oil but that’s kinda to be expected.
5.0 out of 5 stars Budget handmade quality axe with QC issue
I was looking for an all-around quality axe. I couldn't initially decide between Husqvarna carpenter and CT 2lb 18" Hudson Bay Camp Axe so ordered both. After testing both I decided to go with Husqvarna. I just wanted to write a comparison review hoping it would help others in the future. CT is sharper and the handle was hung better. The pull is square and heat-treated. It has more of a machine finish compared to Husqvarna. I value craftsmanship and preferred forge finish of Husqvarna. CT doesn't come with a sheath. If you don't have leather and riveting equipment laying around you would want to buy a sheath to protect the edge which brings your investment to $100 mark. Husqvarna has QC issues. Therefore, cheaper... I returned the first one and ordered a replacement. First one wasn't hung properly and the handle had a bad grain. Both Husqvarna axes weren't as sharp as CT, but came with a sheath. If you don't mind touching up the bit and like the forge finish I would go with Husqvarna. They are both well-made axes. If you can't have both or a GransforsB Husqvarna is a good all-around axe to have. You can use Husqvarna for kindling, in your faller's belt or around a camp site. You can swing it with both hands comfortably if needed and it feels better while handling it. CT has smaller bit and handle which is better for kindling or as a boy's axe.
The best Axe ever

My husband has been wanting this axe for years. I totally slept on getting this for him and I wish I haden't. He has not stopped talking about it. The craftsmanship, the weight, and look of it. He is in love. If I ever have to buy him another one I absolutely will, but I don't think we will have to as this is so well designed ❤️
Excelente calidad a buen precio
A well balanced axe!
I enjoy this axe as it is a rather compact tool with a larger cutting-edge. The steel seems to be of good quality. A well made axe that should give many years of service.
Swedish steel is the best
