A lot of places don’t sell this brand anymore, but I’m really glad that Bolo does. This is the best boss with the rice I can recommend. Make sure you wash it about 7 to 10 times before cooking. The rice has a good texture. It’s fragrant. You can tell the rice green is aged and I agree, it is the best basmati rice.

Guys. This rice. If you are Indian, Afghani, Thai, or come from any rice-eating culture, you will LOVE this rice. The flavor is delicious, the texture is perfect. I was on the hunt for an actually tasty organic basmati rice for months now. Tried Texmati, tried Mahatma Organic. None have even close to this flavor and quality. Adding this to my regular subscriptions!

Dead bugs.NOT vacuum-packed.OLD.OLD.OLD. MAYBE EVEN ANCIENT.Cooking directions that make ZERO sense. The video you can watch. IT IS VAGUE.And, NO, I’m not soaking your rice and you DON’T give alternative directions for NOT soaking. Rinsing: I get that and have done it for rice before and we’ve all rinsed beans.I made ours: 1c rice - 2.5c water - salt & coconut oil - cooked for 18m and let steam for 10m (Turning the burner off and letting the rice sit.). I should have used 3c of water, cooked for 20-22m and then let steam for 10m. Blending the two (Well, let's be honest, the kindasortamaybe directions from Jivu.) cooking directions from Lundberg and Jivu.NO sweet taste. It WAS flakey. GRAINY in texture - which is why I say the longer cooking time. I can COMPLETELY identify with the reviews that likened this product to dirt. Grainy and a negative on the taste scale.It completely DETRACTED from the fish I’d cooked up to accompany the rice. I have food allergies and typically eat one meal a day. Very often that’s white basmati (My stomach can not handle the brown rice anymore.😣) and an ocean caught fish other than tuna.I’ll pay extra for AMERICAN rice in the future.UPDATE 5-21-20: My Father has Dementia. He sent me an email wondering if I would spray insecticide on the rice and maybe that would kill the bugs.I say the above because at the time I was suffering from the WORST Rheumatoid Arthritis/Fibromyalgia flare ups I have, to date, ever experienced.I ate two bowls of rice and was hit with an RA flare up so bad that even with the help of pain meds I would cry, the pain was so all-encompassing and BRUTAL.It felt as if I were poisoned. I’m not saying I was. But those flare ups came out of NOWHERE and had NONE of the characteristics of ‘normal’ flare ups.HOWEVER, my Father’s comment got me thinking, “Did those insects die of natural causes or did they have help...?”Also, propping up my claim that this stuff is ANCIENT: it won’t season. You can’t salt it. Whatever you put on it to improve the absolute VACUUM of flavor LITERALLY gets sucked in (or out).AND YOU CAN’T RETURN THE SWILL.I've been able to return OPENED bottles of vitamins/supplements.THERE’S A REASON IT CAN’T BE RETURNED: THEY'RE OFFLOADING WHAT THEY WON’T EAT ON TO US.

I bought a 10 lb bag of this white basmati rice maybe 8 months ago and I liked it. It wasn't anything special but it was good and it smelled like basmati. So I bought another bag about a month ago. I was disappointed however because it smelled moldy. Not that kind of smell that you expect to smell a pleasant one but a musty smell as another reviewer put it. So I won't be buying this again. Organics is actually a big mess with a very poor certification inspection. The inspection is often cursory and often there is no inspection when there are multiple farms for the same organization. And if there are infringements then very little is done. The company has to be terrible to get a certification revoked. There's also a great deal of fraud. So I'm going to switch to another brand.

I received our first bag of rice yesterday. It was vacuum packed and sealed very well. Upon opening it; a lovely light basmati rice aroma. Then, I compared the nutritional values from what is given online in the pictures (7g of dietary fiber and 8g of protein). The nutritional values on the bag of rice we received said 0g for both. How disappointing. I really thought I'd found our basmati rice for life, but I may need to continue my search. I am pleased that the sodium level is very low. The other brand we tried before this one was outrageous. Perhaps fiber and protein are not naturally in basmati rice...time to research.

This was perfect basmati rice vacuum packed. Really a wonderful taste, the real deal. I am so glad its organic! Since non organic food is really not good for me. I like the fact its ten pounds so it lasts a good while. I also like the fact it arrived fairly quickly. I pour the rice into a closed covered container once I open it so there are no problems attracting bugs. I'm buying it again.

I didn't really know what to expect as I thought rice was rice but this is fluffy and light and has a lovely taste. Yes, it's aromatic, but it smells like rice, that's it. It cooked really nicely and fast too.The rice looks very clean and is vacuum sealed and then sealed again in a heavy second bag as well.I will definitely purchase this again even though it's actually more expensive than the organic rice I was buying locally.

Best deal on organic basmati rice. Been buying it for a few years now. Tastes great.
Smelled and tasted like chemicals
I bought two bags to fill my rice container. We opened one and when filling the container it made my face flush and itch, it smelled bad. We kept the other bag closed and did up a small batch to test and it cooks up like it smelled uncooked, very bad.I will stick with the small bags from the brands I know. Basmati rice should have a lovely flavour and be a delicate addition to a meal. This was not that.
