The taste is almost like a candy. They do have a seed inside that I believe you can’t eat. They are always fresh.

The time was excellent. It was very fresh still is I’ve got the air cut tight container. I would highly recommend this company for your tamarind. It’s absolutely delicious and we eat these daily. We’ve never had a problem with them and the delivery was quite fast. We will be purchasing this again.

I absolutely love tamarinds !!! I was so happy when I first found and bought them on Bolo. But all the excitement disappeared when I had the bad luck of finding bugs and rotting tamarinds this time. So sad because I don’t know where to find them here in the US. The box is in the trash bin because I don’t want to keep digging out of fear of finding more bugs 🐛

Purchased this product to make a tamarind simple syrup for cocktails. The tamarind was easy to peel and was sweet(a little too sweet for a traditional simple syrup recipe; will cut down on the sugar next time)

I received the package in a paper bag with just the box of tamarind inside. The box clearly stated that it needed to be refrigerated (not just after opening). The tamarind should probably be shipped refrigerated in that case. I had several tamarind that were cracked and open to the air upon opening the package and they didn't taste sweet-the were excessively sour. Some had black spots and one had mold on it. I wouldn't buy again. Definitely not worth the money for the quality that I received. The several with rotten spots and the one with mold weren't able to be eaten.
