Our paper is not from recycled paper that has been printed on either (which can also have toxic residues). our bedding is 99% dust free and is safe and comfortable for small pets. No dyes, no irritants! 16L(56L-compressed)- Jumbo size - Paper bedding is measured based on volume not weight, as the density of paper varies so much. Jumbo 16L white bedding will always expand to at least 56L usable volume. Weight should have variance between 8lb-12lb. 3173 cubic inches - expands to at least 56L.

I originally returned this bedding due to it making my hamster sneeze. But it's cheaper then Kaytee clean n cozy so I later decided to give it a second try. So, here's the trick; Take a mesh laundry bag, one of those bags you put delicates in before putting them in the washing machine. Fill partway with this bedding and shake it around, preferably outside. You don't need to get it dust free, just get the worst of it out. It's more of a hassle then just throwing bedding in the cage, but it was the difference between constant sneezing vs no issue for my hamster. Also, I have heard some people say they needed to do this with Kaytee bedding too, the dust is not an issue specific to this brand.As far as how well it's working otherwise, I love it. It's a little coarser then Kaytee's clean n cozy but holds burrows just as well. My hamster had both in his cage for a time and didn't show any preference for one over the other.

Sheesh where do I start,1. This is the ONLY paper bedding that has a 99 percent dust free claim is believable. I clean the guinea pig room everyday(dusting included) and no matter how careful I am all the other popular beddings end up leaving ever single surface covered in dust.2. Also unlike the most popular white paper bedding sold in pet stores across the country, this paper bedding sucks up into my dyson handheld without constantly clogging it up with solid clumps formed when pee'd on. SPS paper bedding stays shredded up and saves me SOOO much cleaning time.3. AGAIN unlike the other major brands sold across the country this paper bedding uses zero harmful chemicals to aid in performance. Which is a joke in itself because by doing this they are really harming the animals that are laying in it.4. Discovering Small Pet Select back when I did was probably the best thing that ever happened for my guinea pigs. The range and quality of SAFE and healthy products they sell is second to none. You could just about start and end with everything you need simply by using them.5. They are a family owned business that seriously gives you that small store vibe of truly caring about you and your pet. All the little extra things they do and give you is awesome.Finally just so anyone reading this knows, I have nothing to do with small pet select. Never worked for them, don't know anyone who ever has, and I gain nothing from leaving this comment. I'm just a guy from San Diego who loves my piglets and spends alot of time making sure I don't end up fooled by products disgustingly promoted for my animals that are actually terrible for them.

For context I purchased both the 175L and the 56L bag. I have listed below the pros and cons in detail.TLDR: The bedding itself is very absorbent and soft. It has a papery feel and not a tissue feel like kaytee has for example. However, one bag was full of not only painters tape but also RUBBER GLOVES while the other was perfectly fine.PROS- its more absorbent than any other bedding I have used- not that dusty but could use some work- i was allergic to something inside the bedding, but it was practically unscented which is better for my hamsters- i wasn't exactly soft as it is not very plushy or as compactible as other bedding I have tried, but my hamsters seem to actually like that better so I list it as a pro. Essentially it is more papery feeling than tissue feeling- more of a personal preference but I like the color! it has natural bits and white bits which match my cage lolCONS- 175L bag was practically pristine. Usually I find a couple pieces of painters tape or gloves in any bag but there was none in this one. HOWEVER, the 56L bag had multiple pieces of rubber gloves in every handful I grabbed without fail. Since it was late and I was very very tired, I was in a rush and didn't take any photos of the gloves. I wish I did so more people would heed my warning, but this is a pretty common problem with bedding brands so I am not surprised and it is definitely just a consistency issue. Im sure the 56L was a bad batch, but still very disappointing,- not compactible. I practically put my full weight on my hands trying to compact the bedding but it still does not hold burrows as well as the more plushy bedding i've tried. Its still decent but not the best

Mi spiace dirlo ma c fossero 0 stelle ne avrei messe 0. Il materiale non è CARTA, ma lo stesso materiale delle salviette umide sminuzzato, alcuni pezzi più grandi altri più piccoli, misto a cotone, misto a materiale che sembra nastro adesivo senza la parte della colla. Mi sono messa a scartare i pezzi non idonei ottenendo meno di 1/10 del prodotto idoneo (in 45 minuti ho ottenuto un pugnetto di materiale - quindi anche se si vuol risparmiare rispetto a prodotti più costosi, alla fine si butta via la maggior parte del pacco), nonostante ciò, 12 ore dopo ho cambiato questa lettiera (dato che ilCriceto ci dorme lo cambio ogni giorno in quel punto) e la lettiera era bagnata. Mai avuto problemi con CareFresh, sempre asciutta anche per 72h. Bocciata per la sicurezza dell’animale e per la sua funzione assorbente.

This product is a bad value for money. Paper quality is poor and feel clumped.Also price has doubled in 6 months. Cheeky sellers
Pricey but great product
The media could not be loaded. My hamster loves this bedding. We've switched from pine chip and couldn't be happier. No dust, and she wasn't stressed when we changed it(she usually is) she loves digging around in this stuff. Would recommend.

Pricey but great product
