The quality is superior, and it works just as described, so I believe that justifies the high price tag. It helps reduce redness, prevent oiliness, smooth any texture, and blur my pores. Although it doesn’t completely blur all of my pores, I’d say it covers at least 95% of them. It looks like I have an Instagram filter over my face, which gives the appearance of porcelain skin (hence the Geisha inspiration). I’ve never experienced any cracking, creasing, fading, or smudging. Even after 12+ hours of wear, my makeup remains fresh. Even when it’s a super hot day and I’m sweating, my makeup doesn’t budge. Even when it was pouring buckets outside, my makeup stayed put. This stuff is truly amazing.As for the application, it’s extremely quick and easy. The small spatula it comes with to remove the product is genius. On first contact, this appears to have a slightly thicker consistency than your average primer, but it melts into your skin instantly. I love the silky feel it gives; it adds to the luxury of this primer. I personally use a little more product than the recommended amount, and I like to wait a few minutes before applying my makeup. As for the scent, it’s faint and doesn’t linger. For reference on my skin type, I have dry/normal skin.In terms of the authenticity of ordering this primer on Bolo, I can say with certainty that it’s legit. Tatcha is the seller, so it’s no different than purchasing it from their official brand website or Sephora. The only difference is that you receive it much sooner, and if the timing is right, you can purchase it at a much lower price. I’m currently running low on my Tatcha silk canvas primer, so I bought one on Prime Day for $37 bucks! That’s a $17 dollar difference (talk about a saving!).The packaging came in typical Tatcha fashion. The primer came in a vacuum-sealed bag and was placed in a little drawer-like box with a small disc-shaped spatula. The primer itself came in flawless condition, as it should. The outside packaging looked a tiny bit dingy, but that didn’t bother me. As long as the actual product is intact, that’s all that matters.

Honest review. I tried this product several ways and here’s what worked… I’m 50 and past the using of foundation stage, BUT I still have some and still try. When you get my age, foundation doesn’t work as well on our older skin as it once did in my 20’s and 30’s. It settles in wrinkles and really makes my skin appear older. However, to my gen x crew, ladies beware.. this stuff will have your skin looking a lot younger and airbrushed when used properly.Here’s what I did.. after my daily skin routine and moisturizer, I applied this product as directed to my face and gave it a few minutes to dry. It makes your skin appear a little lighter with what appears to be a subtle glow. Ok.. I can work with this!I then applied my concealer under my eyes and used powder (I use cover girl powder with a brush) and BAM! My face looked almost flawless. After finishing off with some light bronzer, mascara, and lip gloss.. I saw the difference. My skin looked almost 30 something again. SERIOUSLY.It did NOT make my wrinkles look more enhanced, it actually made them appear faded and smaller. My pores were hidden, my face appeared air brushed and Alive.The trick is, DON’T use foundation when using this product. Just don’t. You won’t need to anyway. If you’re more comfortable wearing layers of makeup and foundation, this may not be the product for you, as it doesn’t seem to pair well when foundation is applied on top of it, in my experience.

Iam not really savvy when it comes to makeup products, so with that in mind I’ll let you know what I think, it’s a very nice product, when I applied it on my face it went on smooth, not a lot of coverage, but it’s okay because it’s meant to be a primer, I just don’t like wearing a bunch of makeup.

I love the fact I noticed a difference in the smoothness of my face! My foundation works great with this product! No overbearing for me but just right!!!!!!!! This is a product I'm going forward with! I Love it! Did I say I love it? This is a repeat of all my TATCHA products! The face mask! My sister told me about these products because I noticed where her skin looks amazing! I get soooooo many complements from using this product line! I'm a person who loves to share great information when I come across it! This is AMAZING!

I don’t really see the hype. I mean it’s a poreless primer, but I wouldn’t say it’s any different than the elf poreless primer, but it’s forty more dollars. I wouldn’t buy it again. You’re basically just paying for the name. Plus the amount of product is ridiculous, especially for a $50 price tag.

I have found this fabulous product that just smooths out the realities of old skin! Saw this and after watching the application film thought I would try this and see what it could do for my skin. I am very pleased with how little you are suggested to use and yet it provides such a beautiful result. Not something I use daily but feels wonderful on the skin and think if it can make an " old broad" feel fabulous what can it do for you!

I do not normally write reviews but thought I’d try and help out my girls with very textured skin. I have dark spots, acne scares and large pores. I struggle with primers because it just doesn’t give a proper smooth surface for the make up to sit on my skin well. Most primers just moisturize my skin but don’t help with smooth appearance. This primer is great! It’s slightly waxy but goes on very light weight. I only used two large pea sized amounts for my face and neck. My make up went on so smooth, hiding most, if not all the flaws I mentioned before, making the texture on skin almost invisible unless you are looking at my face super close up. Additionally, I used much less foundation then I normally use (I use a liquid buildable kind). Highly recommend for textured skin!!

I am thrilled I can now purchase from their website in Canadian dollars or from Bolo!I have very sensitive skin and these are the only products that don't irritate because it's natural and gentle, but the results are absolutely amazing. The products last longer than commercial brands as a little does go a long way.I also appreciate Tatcha uses part of their sales to support young girls in a poor country to receive an education and a chance of a future.I am definitely a Tatcha girl, and hope other women appreciate the brand.
