This oil is different from the brand I usually buy, in color, flavor, scent, and viscosity. See my photos for side by side color comparison. I'll take each point separately:1. Color: Maju brand is a clear golden color, no sediment that I could see. My usual brand is much darker and when getting to the end of the bottle (I usually forget to shake it before dispensing) there is a lot of sediment.2. Flavor: Maju tastes MUCH milder than my usual brand. My usual brand is sharp and pungent to the point that I mix it with MTC oil with a squirt of liquid stevia before gulping the shot down while trying not to taste it. I don't do smoothies because I low-carb. The Maju, mixed with my MTC shot does not need any stevia, tastes quite mild, and does not, so far, give me any "black seed burps" that I usually get with the other.3. Viscosity: Maju is a bit thinner than my usual brand. I use black seed topically on problem areas and I am used to the feel of it portioning it out and spreading it on my skin. The Maju is thinner. The same amount spreads easier and covers more area. It also soaks in quicker.4. Scent: Used topically my old brand smelled... loudly pungent. I mixed various essential oils with it to try to tone down/cover up the scent (didn't really work, the black seed smell dominated no matter what). The Maju brand oil has milder scent that seems to blend well with essential oils. 20 minutes after application I can still smell the black seed, but it is not unpleasant.I emailed the sellers about the differences and asked them to explain. Basically, they say the answer to all of the above is that there are regional differences in color based on different growing regions. Oils from India/Egypt seeds are darker/pungent. Oil from Turkey, lighter/less pungent. Processing also makes a difference as Maju brand is cold pressed without solvents. They also said other oils are unfiltered, however they did not say theirs WAS filtered - but it looks filtered to me. They say their method of processing results in lighter color and more active compounds. I was pleased with the quick response from the sellers. The upshot is that I bought a second bottle and gave it to my adult daughter who is experiencing some health problems, instead of giving her the other brand. I guess that means I like this stuff better. My only quibble so far is the shaker top on the bottle. This might be nice if I shook this drop by drop onto salads or something, but I measure it out by pouring. I had to use a knife to pry that thing out of the bottle. If I change my mind after a few months of use, I will update this review!
5.0 out of 5 stars Black seed oil
I wanted to try this after watching a ladies journey using this for many many years . She said that it has helped her lose a lot of weight , that it had a lot of benefits also like helping your low immune system, helping in coating the inside lining or my insides. It can be used internally and externally.
5.0 out of 5 stars It also minimized inflation.
If you have had any effects of parasite cleanses in that you have horrible itching.....this is great to put on those areas along with pepperming lotion. It helps minimize the horrible affects. It helps you get through until they are all done. Also, take activated charcoal to bind these dead critters. Yes I really appreciated the Black Seed Oil for this.
4.0 out of 5 stars Maju Black Seed Oil Caps how good is it for inflamation ?
I'm a bodybuilder for many years so I do take a good number of natural supplements to keep my joints and tendons healthy. Recently I was hit with a bit of Golfers Elbow in my right arm and someone recommended I try Black Seed oil along with some of the other joint supplements that I already take and he recommended to make sure it had a good dose of Thymoquinone per serving so I did some research and I went with Maju Black Seed Caps. I actually stopped one of my VERY effective joint supplements 4 weeks ago Cissus because I had been dosing it for 5 months straight so it might have lost a bit of effectiveness because I hadn't taken a break from it in a while. The Black Seed oil caps as of today is exactly 3 weeks that I've been dosing it and now I wanted to leave a little feedback. The caps are small and easy to dose and I've been dosing 2 caps a day for the first 2 weeks but since I didn't feel much effects while resting my arm during the first 2 weeks I decided to poke a hole in one of the caps and rub the oil directly onto the spot on my elbow so now I was dosing 3 caps a day 2 orally and one directly on the skin. I did start to feel like some of the elbow pain was starting to diminish after day 19. I've started to weight train lightly a few days ago after resting my elbow for 6 weeks and just doing physical therapy movements. The point on the elbow still feels a bit tender but it definitely feels better than 2-3 weeks ago when washing my hands with soap I could feel the pain in my elbow from the back and forth motion of soaping my hands but now that pain is practically gone when I soap my hands. Overall I would say if your looking for a natural supplement that can help with the type of injury I mention and you've tried other supplements then YES I would recommend Maju Black Seed Oil caps because they are easy to dose, state the Thymoquinone amount, and actually this co. seems very sound because their customer service seems impeccable. After my purchase I received an e-mail directly from the co. thanking me for trying their brand and wanting to know why I wanted to use the Black Seed Oil and they gave their recommendations on the BEST way to dose it to get the most from this supplement. As with any natural supplement you have to be patient and be consistent with dosing it and though after 3 weeks my elbow isn't 100% yet I can tell that within another week or two I should be good to go with the dosing of the Black Seed oil caps and weight training to keep blood flow consistently in the elbow. The only sides that I've felt is slight irregularity and I'm one who eats a good amount of fiber with EACH meal so I never have issues but after the first couple of days I could tell this was having a slight effect but nothing major and also I prefer dosing 1 cap with breakfast and the other in the afternoon cause when I dosed with dinner I honestly felt like it took a while for me to fall asleep when I hit the bed. Everyone's system is different so some may not experience the same side effects that I mentioned but I just thought I'd mention it.
