5.0 out of 5 stars So far the extenders work as expected.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Purchased this for use in my church for our overflow projector, I bought this to avoid a (greater than) 150ft cable run for a VGA display. This little device works perfect well. It allows me to run cheaper (and easier) cat6 cable to the remote display. I ran about 150ft of cable to the remote location. There is no sign of image degradation on the remote display. I see no noise, scrolling lines, interference, or anything else that would indicate a signal problem. I'm only running at 1024x768 though. I don't know how it would perform at higher resolutions. I highly recommend this unit and will definitely buy more for future needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works pretty well but needs good network cable
When I first connected them up with a cat5e cable the picture had a little signal interfered. then I changed a cat6 cable, the problem was solved, it works very well. It seems that this product has higher requirements on the quality of the network cable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
We have had a simple need to place a NVR in one location and a surveillance monitor in another. We have tried other more expensive units but found that they would fail within a year. These units do not require any separate power and simply convert VGA to CAT5 to make it easier to locate a monitor further away from the source. Perfect for server/surveillance applications.
4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great product if you need to extend a VGA signal
This is a great product if you need to extend a VGA signal. I needed about a 130' extension. When I first hooked them up they didn't work despite my having tested the network cable and having it pass. I couldn't get a signal on the monitor. After much troubleshooting I discovered the equipment being connected must have a common electrical ground or you must provide one. When I discovered that was the problem It immediately worked.Maixin-tech quickly got a replacement set out to me to attempt to correct the problem although that didn't work. I wiring instructions are useless and there is not technical support to talk to about possible problems. If they don't work you are on your own. I have many hours trying to figure out what could be the problem. I always thought the product functioned properly.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good product for the price, not so great Quality Control
Adapters work, but there is a cyan hue to the entire display using the set I received. The cause is a few bad solder connections to a component inside one of the units, would have been noticeable in a simple visual QC inspection. Aside from my defective unit, these adapters work great. No qualms about the video clarity on a security monitor over ~160ft Cat5E
5.0 out of 5 stars it wroks
sometimes all I need are two adaptors to connect 35 feet network cable, but my case I had to amplify a bit for my newer monitor. this worked perfect.
1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work!
This did not work at all, not even from a few feet away with a short wire!
2.0 out of 5 stars Update: Just died / Easiest/least expensive way to extend a VGA....
Update: While this extender worked great in the past, it just died on me. I didn't even get a year out of it, by 5 days. The picture started to disappear completely and then suddenly come back. It would do this sort of like flashing, and when it went off, the monitor acted as if I didn't have any signal getting to it. I put a very short cable on it and still had the flicker. I checked the monitor directly on the computer, no issues found. I checked both VGA cables, also no issue found. The power supply for both sender/receiver appear to be fine and power up the units. Though I really liked this extender, it just failing like this is in less than a year is a disappointment. Reduced rating from a 5 to a 2 because the product simply didn't last.------------------------I first saw these VGA using Cat5e/6 cables on Wish, but delivery time was 3 or more months. I was very pleased to see Bolo pick up this product, and though Bolo missed its next day delivery, I had the extender the next day. Hookup is easy – you’ll need a standard Ethernet cable Cat5e/6 (I’m using a cat5e) and you’ll need two VGA cables. There’s a sender and receiver unit and two power supplies. Connect the sender with one VGA cable to your computer. Connect the receiver to the other VGA cable and to your monitor. Plus in the Ethernet cable from sender to receiver, plug in power supplies. That’s it. The picture quality is very good (don’t go thinking gaming, but more than plenty good enough to read text in a Word document or watch security cameras (which is what I wanted this for). My security monitoring computer is in another room and I wanted a monitor in another part of the house when I spend most of my time. This is the video signal from the computer’s video card, not a digital signal. There is no lag or delay of any kind. Don’t think this will extend your video over an Ethernet network, that’s not what it’s designed to do. Basically the sender/receiver allows the use of an Ethernet cable instead of a VGA cable. For the price, this is a great device to extend a computers video into another room with the use of an Ethernet cable. Note that if you don’t get a picture, swap out your Ethernet cable, it’s most likely a cross over cable and not a standard cable. If the device lasts, I’ll be very pleased and it’ll be well worth the purchase price (which was reasonable anyway).
Gute leistung, tut was es soll.

Excellent
Funziona egregiamente.
Decent for the price.
As previous reviews it’s not the best but does the job ok..bit of ghosting and picture is a bit fuzzy!! I use it for a basic CCTV - 15m apart; Cat6 cable direct from box to monitor. The quality is ok for security cameras and considering the price.. u can’t win them all!!
