The ribbed one tends to crack between the ribs and the other one tends to get hairline cracks due to age. These fit perfectly, are inexpensive, and will cure some of the P0101 errors.

The original boots were rotting and cracked. New boots fit good. Make sure to wipe the inside of the boots as I found Rubber residue from the manufacturing process. I reused the original clamps as others have stated as they're better quality. No other complaints.

Overall, this is a pretty decent product. The other day, I noticed one of my intake boots was splitting, so I looked around for a solution. From Nissan, you need to buy the entire center part of the intake between the airbox and the throttle body in order to get the two boots, the local dealer wants $169 for that. I checked on one of the popular internet forums and found that Dorman offers this product. It wasn't in stock locally, so I checked Bolo, and here I am. The Dorman rubber boots seem to be well made, but the clamps leave a bit to be desired. On one clamp, the housing that covers the screw was covered in rust, and on another, the screw completely came out of the housing, so I just reused my original clamps. Install was pretty easy, it's just two 10mm bolts to remove the center engine cover, two more 10mm bolts to remove the center intake tube(these two bolts are under the engine cover), one spring type hose clamp and small hose at the back of the center intake tube, and the four hose clamps on the boots. I purchased this for my 2011 Nissan Frontier with the 4.0 liter V6.

Needed to adjust one clamp as it would slip.Works and fits as required on 2005 Off-Road MT.Don't forget to take advantage of the intake being open to 'carefully' clean the MAF and Throttle body and replace your air filter.- and be prepared to re-learn idle as you will likely throw an SES warning due to pulling too much air!
