I bought this mainly for the flexible shaft that can be used for precision work. I already have a Dremel but it is very old and not variable speed, just on or off. This rotary tool is variable speed and the kit comes with lots of accessories. The storage box keeps everything organized so you can find what you need quickly. I really like the different size collets that can be used for various drill bits. The first project I used this rotary tool on was to drill small holes into stained wooden knobs so they could be attached to 1" diameter wafer cutters. The flexible shaft worked perfectly and I was able to accomplish the work with no misses or mistakes. Excellent price and I was able to bundle this purchase with an additional accessory kit.

This is a great value-for-money buy! The tool itself is comfortable in the hand and the inclusion of the "pistol grip" and the long Flexi-shaft make this very versatile. There's a decent selection of bits etc and the case is good too.

This is a great set to have. It has so many different bits to use with it and has plenty of power. The carrying case it comes in is a very big plus. Would definitely recommend trying this before paying the price of a dremel.

WEN 23190 1.3-Amp Rotary Tool - Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. Ive used other WEN tools and I expect this one to perform as well. Of the top 5 rated rotary tools, depending of which reviewer you read was paid for the rating, this is #3. Of course you know #1, their product price can afford the price of the rating.What I have a beef with, is the carrying case design. It nice and compact but it has several design flaw. First off is the near 190 parts that are bound to end up all scattered atop the work bench; when accessing the lower storage area, which you must do so to withdraw the stored cord, Flex Shaft, or other accessories you may stow in there. You must pop off the upper deck to access the lower storage area...there goes all those parts scattered across the work bench. Then there are the little friction tabs that keep the upper deck attached to the case; how long are they going to stay intact. And finally the two major latches at each case end. Im afraid to lift it off the bench for fear of spilling the entire 190 pieces across the floor.WEN, find a way to put some snap in those end latches; make them secure.The kit arrives with a very thin plastic cover to keep those 100+ various parts in their designated storage spot, during shipping. Dont throw it out with the shipping box. Manufacturer should beef this cover up several X for lifetime use. Every time you need the tool you must snap loose the upper deck; and, risk upsetting the cart.Cant speak to how to remedy the perceived friction tab longevity; but, if there is a way, manufacturer should address it.Then there's the Flex Shaft and cable. To change tools youve got to lock the collet nut and shaft from turning. There's a manner to do this but the "L" tool supplied, ain't it. The hold positions dont line up. No fear though, use a smaller Hex wrench to fit in the misaligned holes. I used a mini-needle nose pliers to do it.Got to give two thumbs up to their instruction booklet editor. Not quite the Robert Bork level of English writing but pleasantly surprising; not the usual Chinglish. If you read such pamphlets its worth the time. In there you'll not find the purpose of indicated part 22 (Polishing Compound) described as to its use. I'm guessing its applied to Felt Polishing wheels or tip; but, why apply paraffin wax to felt. No matter, it is a good read.

Can't complain, with this you get better than what you pay for. I bought this to see if it could cut off a brass fitting inside a wall. I still have plenty of cutting wheel left. Using cable was great to get at a few old nails to remove. Couldn't use hammer as wall too delicate. Recommended product.

Lets start with tge issue;1. This is a 120v 60hz!!! And having a 2 flat pin plug. Not a EU 3 PIN PLUG!2. The plastic lock latch of the toolbox is so brittle mine came with a broken lock.3. Again its a 120v.!! If your really in to this buy a stepdown powersupply if you have a 230v supply.Now on positive side:1. Build quality feels premium tool in hand..2. PLENTY OF bits and accesories a LOT!3. BEAUTIFUL CARRYBOX BUT PLASTICS ARE BRITTLE.4 reasonable product for the price you pay. Have some issues but some are easy fix.. big issue to me is its a 120v!!!!
