I had hoped the time and frustration saved by having a second machine dedicated to embossing folders only would be worth the investment. It is. The ability to micro-adjust for folder thickness is wonderful. Time will tell, but the machine feels 'solid'. I'm sold.

I just received this die cutting machine and I am thrilled! I bought it as a replacement for a sizzix big shot which broke. This machine is head and shoulders above the sizzix. It has suction cups to hold it in place. It has dials which allow you to adjust the pressure for different types of activities- die cutting vs embossing et al. Extremely easy to use. VERY HAPPY 😊

I am very pleased with my new Biracraft die cutting and embossing machine because it is so easy to use and I don't have to figure out which plates to use. Just set the dials and maybe adjust the pressure and you are good to go. Best upgrade ever. It was very well packaged. Thank you.

I had 3 Manuel due cutters and one electronic one. The electronic one lasted less than a year and the mays warped easily and $$$ to replace! Never will buy an electric one again.Two of the Manuel ones the handles broke, and the other one the mat got stuck.I love this one, handle works smooth, I used it over 50 times and the boards are still in good shape.. Most dies cut perfectly the first time through, even intricate ones that I could never use before. Love the adjustable pressure but I only ever moved it once. Dies run through so smoothly. Never had that before. Love the storage compartments to keep things in, also the suction cups stick well on my cabinet. So pleased with this. Easy to use!!!!

I love that you can adjust it. Makes it much simpler to figure out a sandwich. Easy to turn handle. Easy to adjust. I find that the handle hangs up occasionally when turning it. Could be user error as I’m new to this machine. Love the suction cups on the bottom. I swapped out the cutting plate for a magnetic plate. The adjustability makes this possible

This machine embossed well, but the die cutting left much to be desired. On regular cardstock (65 lb), I ran the brand new die thru several times and it still wouldn't cut thru. Returning.

Love this machine. I really like that it's not one size fits all. The flexibility of choosing the settings is what makes it amazing. Besides, I saw this under a brand name and decided I didn't need another die cutting machine until I saw this offering. Looks identical to the named brand! I don't think you will be disappointed!

Solidly built, easy to use, flexibility mean no sandwich plate confusion

Having used 5 different die cutting machine (2 electric powered, 3 manual) and all requiring multitudes of plates, shims and "padding" to create the prefect pressure to due cut, emboss, deboss, or press, it was time to try something with more flexibility and simplicity. The Bird 6" is heavy and solid. Not lightweight here! The collapsible platform snaps into position and locks the suction feet on smooth surfaces ( snap them into the unit to lock them but it' not really needed). The easy to attach handle is smooth in action and sturdy to use. But the greatest p[art is the 3 way mode dial selector for cut/emboss2D/emboss3D to close or open up the space between the steel rollers in a controlled and repeatable manner. Of course certain embossing folders can be thinner or thicker and fine adjustments might be required, which makes the secondary fine adjustment dial lower down perfect for this. The defaults work well for most brands but certain extra thick folders (Spellbinders or Tim Holtz for example) require a 3D position with max extra space to prevent folder curling and paper damage. Just postnote the folders needing extra adjustment. Lastly the cutting mat is self healing and softer, so my suggestion is to favour looser pressing over tighter to prevent mat damage. But the mat is a standard 3mm and inexpensive mat replacements are out there if required. All in all a superbly designed unit at ½ the price of certain newly released units that appear to be identical if not rebadged versions of this unit.
