Kelo-cote Advanced Formula is absolutely amazing because of how fast ( 1 week using it) it begins to noticeably start making skin tone even as well as making skin surface even. Four weeks ago I got a second degree burn from burning water. The burn covered all the area above and across my knee ( 8" x 6") not a small area. The burn healed and I started applying Kelo-cote to it. Two times daily. I also apply Petroleum Jelly on top to keep area moisture retention. After 1 week of applications, my skin is recovering wonderfully fast. The area Is of light pink tone ( looks like light sunburn )and the scars are almost not visible.

I’ve used Kelo-Cote gel on a recent scar and it’s worked pretty well. It applies easily and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky feeling. It doesn’t have a strong smell and doesn’t irritate the skin. Over time, I’ve noticed the scar looks less noticeable and the skin feels smoother. It seems like a reliable product to help improve the appearance of scars.

Sorry no photo for this one lol! I bought this for my C-section scar. It’s easy to apply as you just dry the scar tissue once it’s fully healed. It is sticky feeling and I thought it would try down but never seemed to stop feeling tacky but maybe I just applied too much. I did notice it left a grease like stain on my clothing so be careful not to get on any clothing that is visible.

I have keloids in the middle of my chest from about 12 years ago. Got them when I was 20 from a very bad sunburn followed by getting the blisters ripped open in a crowd at a music concert.. gotta love being 20.Ive been using kelo cote for about 6 months. I have also used it a previous time for 2 or 3 months when i had a smaller tube. I can say it certainly takes a lot of the itch and discomfort away pretty much immdiiately when you apply it. As far as diminishing the appearance of keloid scars it hasnt really done a whole lot for me. I think it makes them slightly less red but its hard to even say that for sure. In my opinion buying the large 60 gram tube is definetley the only way to make this stuff worth it for the money. It costs about 30 bucks for like 10 grams of this stuff at a drug store and for me it is simply not worth it to pay those prices for something that barely works. Anyone who has claimed this stuff completely erased there scar probably had a hyperthropic scar instead of a keloid scar..Research the difference. I have also tried a product similar to kelo cote called celocyn and same thing, minimal results. I once got a round of shots in my keloids at the dermatologist.. 200 dollars for the visit and shots... it flattened my keloids a little but the results were very minimal and temporary. I do plan on persuing more shots.. (one round of steroid shots in the keloids isnt known to make a staggering difference and you do need several visits. While I think kelo cote and other silicone products are not a waste of money I do think there is a lot of marketing hype BS as to how much this product will actually do. You may have difference results than me but... honestly i think most people that had great results with this either put the product on right as there scars started to form and tackled it early on.. or they actually had hyperthropic scars and not keloids which i already mentioned. While using this product apply a very thin layer. You want the scars covered but there is no need to have a thick layer over them and its just a waste of product. It does take a little while to dry which is a bit of a hassle sometimes. I would say it takes 20 minutes or more to completely dry. I sit in front of a fan sometimes to help dry the product a bit faster while im getting ready for work. The product stays a bit sticky to the touch but you will know when its dry verses wet after using it a few times. The products fairly dureable but I feel like it can and does rub off under the right amount of pressure. For example since my scars are in the middle of my chest I do feel like my seatbelt in the car chafes off a little bit of product off my chest but a lot of product remains and you can pretty much feel it with your finger tip if there is still product on your scars. I can feel a layer lasting on there longer than 12 hours sometimes.Now for anyone that has the money to see a dermatologist and can not live with their keloid scars I would suggest you do just that. They will probably do a round of steroid shots into the keloid which as i mentioned I have had before and In my opinion the shots were very non painfull and easy to deal with. They will probably do several rounds of shots over the course of some months. They also do lazer treatment nowdays to remove redness from keloids. Im basically just saving my money for this as I know its not going to be cheap. My scars have caused me a fair amount of irritation especially after the sun hits them (even wiith my shirt on) I also have new small scars around the area developing years later. Oh well.. atleast they arent cancer or any type of malignent threat like that. Im more carefull now in the sun. Lifes rough.. atleast we are alive.

Works great. I was always skeptical of these "scar treatment gels" for a long time, but I finally caved into this product after reading some reviews. I had a keloid scar on my face as the aftermath of a large cystic acne. I squeezed and messed with it very harshly, as I was frustrated, but NEVER pick at these spots (easier to give this advice then take :)) For months, I thought this scar was simply the cystic acne not healing as I understand sometimes these cystic bumps just don't go away for months. But, it was a keloid/hypertrophic scar. This gel has flattened the scar. There's still some hyperpigmentation, but I never intended on using this gel for pigment issues (I'll continue my routine of using retinoids, vit c, other actives for pigmentation issues).It does dry a bit tacky, so if you're using this for your face, it may be tricky to use under makeup (I just avoided using make up on that area for a while). Also, it was a bit tricky for me to incorporate in my skincare routine as I was using this on my face. If it were on my body or elsewhere, I would just apply it on clean dry skin as they instructed. But, this is how I used it on my face (just my personal way - you should just follow their directions): After washing my face, I would apply my actives and moisturize (everywhere on my face including the scar area). Then I would wait a bit (~5 minutes) for everything to settle, and then I would take a tissue and blot the scar area so that there are no oils there. Then I would apply a very thin layer of kelo-cote. I wasn't completely sure on their instructions. I believe they want you to wash the scar area, dry, and then apply the kelo cote directly on the clean skin. However, for me, being a skincare fanatic, I couldn't let go of my actives nor moisturizers, so I would just blot afterwards. (Again, please follow their instructions and not mine).A couple of things to note. My scar was again from cystic acne and it was around 6 months old. I saw initial results within a week. I have not tried this on older larger scars, so I cannot say much on other types of scars. This will NOT work for indented acne scars (ice pick, rolling, etc.); this will only work for RAISED scars.
