I carry these (a handful in a small plastic bag) for hiking in the desert. They help when trudging in the sun -- my very strong wife was feeling weak climbing out of the Grand Canyon. She took one of these capsules and started to feel better in a few moments. Another time, we came across someone who was having more serious trouble -- some water and two of these capsules helped him get going again after 10-15 minutes.If you dissolve one in a cup of water and drink, it will taste something like seawater -- so you know it really contains salt. I wish it had more potassium, though.

I have trouble with leg cramps. Normally, I have to drink gallons of sports drinks in hot weather. Just one capsule in the morning, and no more leg and hand cramping.

I'm in the fence for now as I haven't used it often enough to say one way or another. For now, it's a neutral*** (3 stars).But Kevin W. Reviewed that people get "rashes" in their skin after taking this.Is it a coincidence or what?I took one capsule if it a little more than a week ago during a hike. I got skin rashes on the same day. I noticed them after I got home taking a shower. A couple of days later, I started feeling intermittent & sharp radiating pains in the area and the skin in the area was very tender or sensitive to touch and was a bit painful when touched. It's been 9 days since the hike, the bumps at the center of the rashes are slowly drying up with black skin. Hopefully, things will be ok.I have a backpacking trip coming up in a few days. I may use a different type of electrolytes. If I use this one again, I fear that the rashes may exacerbate.I thought I was bitten by a tick or a spider initially. Of course, there's no definitive conclusion as to the cause of the rashes at this time.I'll experiment a little to see if this electrolyte was indeed the culprit.

I bought these for my teenage son.He was constantly low in energy, moody and sluggish.His diet is awful in terms of fruit and veg.I got these on a whim that it would help.After 3 days he was a lot better.I dont know if it's a placebo affect but he's like a different person. He has so much energy and now I see him more rather than laying in his pit complaining of being tired lolThe strength seems like the right amount.He finds that there's no taste and very easy to swallow.I'd say they're about the standard size you'd expect.Very happy

I have an outdoor job, which means that I am sometimes working hard in the hot sun all day long, five days a week (when we get it in the UK)! I'm no stranger to dehydration and the horrible effects it can have, raging headache, feeling sick and tired. I'm no medical expert, but know that drinking gallons of water alone is likely to upset your electrolyte levels. On the hot days, I have been taking one of these early before I go out and sometimes in the afternoon too. They do seem to help. As I said, I'm no scientist and it could be a placebo effect, but I don't care if it helps me avoid some unpleasant and painful effects of heat.
