I saved up and splurged on this SMEG tea kettle as a reward to myself. I don’t usually spend this kind of money on a kitchen item, but I was so excited and proud to have it. It looked beautiful in my kitchen and I genuinely loved it.That’s why I’m so crushed to see a huge air bubble form on the side. It looks like a defect in the finish, and now the kettle is making strange popping/crackling noises in that area as well. For something at this price point, this shouldn’t be happening.This wasn’t just a kettle to me — it was a special purchase. I’m incredibly disappointed that the quality hasn’t matched the price.
