Last time I needed these I bought a small jar of Toasted Sesame Seeds at the grocery store for an exorbitant price!These are a crazy good price!!! I compared the size of these seeds to the ones in my previous purchase and they are not any smaller.These seeds ARE NOT TOASTED! In some reviews people are mentioning that they have no flavor. I have never tasted an untoasted sesame seed that has any flavor... They just really don't have any.I got a skillet. Put it on Medium High heat. Waited for it to really get hot. Then I poured the seeds into it in a very thin layer. You must be vigilant while watching them toast. Actually, mine never got much darker than they already are. But, I stuck my nose kinda close to the seeds and could smell a toasted sesame aroma. As soon as I smelled it I took the hot seeds out of the pan (don't leave them in it or I believe they would get too toasted). I made a few batches of Toasted Sesame Seeds taking advantage of the hot skillet and I am storing them in an airtight container. I am storing both containers of seeds in my freezer.These seeds are such a great deal I am really shocked at the price. Toasting them myself is a small price to pay!!!

Needed a good source of nutrition and variety to my diet. This is what I got from Google about them that I agree with:Sesame seeds are a good source of healthy fats, protein, B vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants, and other beneficial plant compounds. Regularly eating substantial portions of these seeds — not just an occasional sprinkling on a burger bun — may aid blood sugar control, combat arthritis pain, and lower cholesterol.I try to eat the recommended 1 TBS a day for the best benefit from them.
