EXCELLENT PRODUCT IS USED IT REGULAR ON MY LAWN

I used it for top dressing my sod to even it out. I also used it with some sand and grass seed mixed together as a patching mix for my grass in a few bare spots. It worked great for both applications.

It contains a little more branches and debris than i would like. It also has tiny bugs flying out when i opened the bag 😔 but it gets the job done.

It has too much organic vs. topsoil. It is difficult to buy topsoil in other than a truckload. I was hoping this was it. I was fooled by the small size. Very expensive for what you get.

3 month ago I would have rated this product 4 or 5 stars but based on the last 2 bags I received I am hard pressed to give it even 1 or 2 stars. The last two bags contained so many uncomposted sticks and twigs that it has been extremely hard to use the product! I can only conclude that this batch of lawn soil was bagged and sold months too soon. I will be ordering another bag in the next month to see if the last two bags were an aberration but if it is similar to the last two, I will be finding another company's product to use.24 Sep 2020 addendum: I did order additional bags and am pleased to report that the product was back to its previous level of high quality. There were few, of any, uncomposted twigs and sticks and my successful late-summer/early fall grass seeding has reflected this.Addendum 2: I contacted Scott’s Lawn and Product Company and told the. about the poor quality. They pointed me to a complaint form which I completed and sent. Five weeks later I received a refund check. Well done Scott’s!
