Why did you pick this product vs others?:This works great at killing balck carpenter ants. Apply around all sink and pipe areas, and allow 1-2 weeks to work. Reapply if you still see signs of ants. Use in all sink areas, so buy sufficient supply.

This product works really well as part of a means of eradicating ant for my house.Whenever I start seeing ants in my house I usually do two things to extricate them from our dwelling. First I spray the perimeter of the house as well as our crawl space with an ant perimeter treatment. Then, once I've blocked the ants (always the small ants from my situation) from making their way into the house I use this product - Combat Max Ant Killing Gel - to kill any remaining ants that are in the house.The trick with this product to make it extremely effective is to do as follows: This may sound odd - but, I place this product on a tuna or soup can lid. This way you can easily move it around your house if you don't seem to be attracting ants. Do not place it on cardboard or paper as the gell with dry out far too quickly.I usually place a glob slightly larger than a quarter in size and 1/8 of an inch think on the tuna can lid. Then I take a pinch of sugar and place it on top of the Combat Max Gel and mix it together (I use a toothpick to do the mixing).Usually, within an hour ants start nibbling at the gel sugar mixture. After about two to three hours ants are all over this stuff. Normally for me, it can take upwards of two to three days of the ants feeding on this gel sugar mixture for the colony to die off. I usually, do replenish the gel (minus the sugar) every day until the ant population had been decimated. And, that's pretty much it.In the dry seasons, this treatment usually last for about a month to month and a half. Then it usually needs to be repeated. But, I feel it's a better means of treatment than just spraying Raid or some other poison all over my house.

With all of the ant control products on the market, these gel bait syringes are the only thing I have found that work. Ant spray only get rid of what you see and then more come in the next day. With this, they carry it back to the colony and it wipes them all out. I've learned that ants tend to come in in spring when it starts getting warm and in fall when it starts getting cold. So I use this twice a year. As soon as I see an ant or two, just put a little of this along their trail in an out of the way place where kids and pets can't get to it. May need to reapply a couple of times, but you should see a huge difference a day or two after the first application. Sometimes one application is all it takes. This stuff is the best!

Works pretty well at killing ant colonies. The catch is that the ants have to find it and eat it. Spreading it around enough to make sure that the ants stumble across it in their random walks is hit-or-miss, unless you can find a place where they are always coming and going. That said, I've ordered this more than once since it does work better than anything else I've tried.

Works very quickly! Ants rush to it and take the poison back to the colony, the results are quick and last for several weeks at least. Some years we have needed to use this a couple of times a year, others just once.

This product is the only thing that I can rely on to actually get rid of the ants. Put some out and wait before adding more. I've found that in peak ant season this product can continue to attract ants and it makes it appear that it isn't working. It does work. It works well. But there are a lot of ants out there and continuing to use this product daily will attract more from outside and further away even though it may be killing them. Very easy to apply. It isn't as easy to clean if not eaten completely by the ants. They usually eat it all, though.

I've used this product for over 10 years and it still works pretty well at getting rid of ants. There may be some resistance to fipronil in my populations. My complaint is with the syringe, specifically the plunger of the syringe. It no longer moves smoothly in the last 3 or 4 years. It is difficult to squeeze and when it does it spurts out more than I want. In my last order of 4 syringes, 2 of them hardly moved and I had to slam the plunger on a stone surface to release the pesticide. It showered out on a large area in a pattern and places I didn't want. If the trend continues, I will stop using this product and send it back.

As the title says, i've tried various solutions and they all work to varying degrees, but not for long. This though eradicates them completely.Just apply a blob of this near the nest if you see any ants nearby and then come back a bit later and you'll be lucky to see the gel as it will more than likely be covered in ants clamoring to get to it. It really is, as Bricktop said on Snatch...."Like curry to a........"Then next day, you might see one or 2, then a day or 2 later they will all be gone. There will be a lot of dead ants nearby, but the ants in the nest will all be wiped out too.We've had ant problems for years, with them nesting in the door frame, under the skirting boards etc. Nothing else has worked for long, but this has killed all our nests, hence why I bought a pack of 4 in case of any further nests after flying ant day.The secret to this seems to be that it works slowly enough for the ants to take this back to the nests to feed the queen and the larva to eat.
The best product for killing ants.
I have used this in the past and found it to do the job very well.Just place it near the ant colony and the ants feed off it ,taking it back to the nest.I have found within 24 hours the ants have gone.
Great ant killer
This stuff is amazing and worth the money.I pit this down on little blobs where the ants are walking. They swarm over to eat the gel, then all seem to stop where they're eating (I think they're really full) and then a few hours later they must go back to the next because they've all disappeared. I then don't see anymore ants. I believe the poison has been taken back to the nest and everything is killed.It's not nice killing insects when they're in decline but I do use this where the ants are causing an issue and it definitely works and it's quick.I leave any ants alone that are just doing their thing and not causing an issue in my home or killing plants.This is expensive bit in my opinion worth the money for the speed that it works and ease of use.
