This antenna is made of 6061 grade aluminum construction and finished with a durable Anodized Coating. With our black color anodizing option, we offer a Hardcoat Anodizing feature. This provides a thicker more durable protective coating which will help the antenna stand up longer to extreme temperatures and exposure to direct sunlight. The hardcoat feature is only available with our darker black color due to initial process turning the aluminum darker. The anodized coating cannot peel or flake off. It is part of the metal and gives the aluminum a deeper, richer metallic appearance. ** This antennas main design is for appearance enhancements. Its AM/FM radio reception performance is great for local stations (Satellite Radio/Navigation/Bluetooth not effected).

The part is of a very high quality. Picture is after two years old installation on a C70 2008. I would give-it 4 stars since, in my opinion, the diameter of the lower part is slightly bigger by 1.5 mm compared to the plastic base mount. However, the reception is excellent. You may use a drop of medium strenght locktite to prevent a vandal attempt, but if you use an automated car wash you may want to be able to remove-it temporarily. Perhaps, on newer models the installation is flush.

Works as advertised. It wasn't as long as the original equipment, but I'm replacing that one because it kept getting caught in the trunk when the top was raised or lowered. Radio and satellite reception is still fine.

Doesn't fit my Volvo. I will have to bring my car to dealer and pay the marked up price for them to order and install :(

Fit perfectly. You gotta figure out how to take the old one off first though, that's probably the hardest part. All you need is an Allen wrench.

Seems to be of good quality material. As is inferred in the description I do not believe it picks up stations as well as the OEM antenna, but it is good looking and shorter than the OE. The negative: when you screw it down tight It does not meet flush with the base. A trip to the hardware store provided me with a rubber grommet to mask the gap.
