Features atmospheric tracks that fit in the mold of 'exotica'. Not exactly the first sub-genre one would think of with Sun Ra, but blatantly obvious after the fact. An album for chilling on alien worlds (as if that didn't apply to his catalogue anyway). I especially enjoy these soft, tasty tunes in this context, and the choices are excellent. If you are a fan of his mid 50s-60s work, you likely have a few already. A few are unique to this set (unreleased/unedited/extended) and well worth getting.

This 2CD set is pretty mind-expanding stuff. Laid-back Jazz, with an almost psychedelic feel to it. It’s been in my player pretty constantly for a week. I like it so much, I’m seriously considering getting the vinyl version, too.
