Philips Avent SCF654/23 Natural Fast Flow Nipple is designed to make it easy to combine breast and bottle feeding. The wide breast-shape nipple with a flexible spiral tip and unique comfort petals make the nipple softer and more flexible to promote natural latch-on. The petals also reinforce the shape of the nipple to prevent it from collapsing in baby's mouth so your baby can feed contentedly and without interruption. The soft nipple design mimics the feel of the breast. The nipple's shape encourages the same tongue movements suckling babies use when breastfeeding, so transition between the two is less confusing for your baby. The Fast Flow Nipple is designed for babies at least 6 months old and feature 4 holes to offer a fast flow. The Natural nipple features twin anti-colic valves that work to make feeding more comfortable for babies. During feeding, the valves release air back into the bottle rather than into your baby's tummy, which reduces colic and discomfort. These nipples are made of soft, durable silicone, which is odorless and flavorless. The nipples can be sterilized in any Philips Avent steam sterilizer, boiled for five minutes, or washed in the dishwasher.

Our son has acid reflux trouble. He's a "happy spitter" who just pukes no matter what you do. The pediatrician recommended thickening with rice cereal. The adjustable flow nipples offered for Avent specifically for thickened formula flowed WAY too fast - even at level I of III. We find that this size has been best for our son at 4-6 months. Now that we're starting purees he is doing better with the adjustable nipple. It will really depend on your child's mouth size, suction, skill, interest, etc. Sorry to say that you might have to buy every size (like I did) and cycle through as things change. #4 has been a nice 2 months.

I love this brand, no leaks and easy transition from breast feeding! Only problem was my 20 month old would chew through them over the course of a few nights/naps. Was too expensive to buy a new pack each week so had to switch to the cheap ones, but they were great for all 3 of my boys and the first year and a half with my daughter!

I recently changed my 9month old daughter’s Philips Avent natural baby bottles nipples from 3m+ to 6m+. Initially she had some difficulties adjusting to the flow but after a few feeding sessions the feeding turns out to be just fine.The nipples are durable when compared to the early stage nipples, which I find perfect at this stage where my daughter chews almost everything she can have her hands on.Although I sterilize the nipples in the Philips steam sterilizer, I like the fact that the nipples are dishwasher safe as well.Pros: -The nipple is comparatively harder hence resist the babies teething at this stage.- Dishwasher safeCons: As the nipple is fast flow, the baby may need a little time to pick up the proper feeding pace.Would recommend.
