I’m so so glad I bought this. I couldn’t give it 5 stars only because something is making the power “button” to engage and at random times the light will change settings or it will shut off. Not a big inconvience, but rather an annoyance.

while the board it's self is great there is a problem with the wiring. My light kept flickering from the time I got it until the time the wires came apart. I borrowed a piece to melt the metal and place the wires back on it but this is very dangerous if for someone who has never done anything like this. I am very lucky I did not get shocked!!!

Overall, I like this light board. It's light enough to hold in your lap while drawing, and thin enough to put on a desk easily (about 1/8" thick). It's not rechargeable, but the included USB cord is almost five feet long, which is a feature worth mentioning. (Someone thought about usability. Good). The dark edge gets warm, but not uncomfortably so.The light comes out in dots, not as a continuous light. The dots are about 1/16" apart on the diagonal, and very bright (depending on setting). If you're working from velum, the dots will be visible through the source surface. It might actually be better to put a piece of newsprint under the velum to provide some diffusion.Overall, this is a nice light board.
