And when i tried to activate the screw driver, it worked but as soon as i tried to do anything with the screw driver bit, the rotation would stop.After i inspected the screw driver i realized the issue was this white switch. The switch kept getting stuck and not fully going into the LEFT position. If it's not fully in the left position it won't work well. It may spin but it won't have enough power to fully spin. I tested this by activating the screw driver so it would spin, as soon as i touched the screw driver bit with my finger it would stop spinning.THE SOLUTION:PUSH the white switch HARD into the left position so it's fully in that position (You should not have to do this)So i returned the defective screw driver and i kept the one that was good.AND SO FAR, i haven't had any problems with the other screw driver. I've used it many times. Very satisfied with it.____________________OTHER SMALL ISSUES:The LED flash light adds some bulk to the screw driver so when screwing screws at the tight corners of the wall cabinet, it did became a tiny bit tricky (but not impossible) to use.Black & Decker makes attachments for this screw driver for really tight corners. That might have helped i don't know.____________________PROS:- It's VERY powerful NOT as powerful as a drill but it's the next best thing for all sorts of tasks. It made building the cabinet much faster and saved my forearm / wrist from doing too much work. (No soreness after)So if you're older, have issues with your forearms and wrist. I think this product will be very helpful for you.- LED Flash light, i love it. It's pretty bright and useful. Comes in handy.- Battery, it last a very long time i don't know for how long but it's never run out on me yet.- It comes with 2 different drill bits, flathead and Philips-head screw (One sided bits)____________________CONS:- Double sided drill bit heads, they don't really fit in this screw driver. I mean, i was able to fit one from my previous electric black & decker screw driver. It fit, it slightly worked but it was a bit loose. (No pun intended)To make things worse, there's nothing on the screw driver that will allow you to hold the other screw driver bit.So i did what other people did, i took a rubber band put it around the screw driver and i slipped the other screw driver bit under it to hold it.Owners of this screw driver should not have to do that. Make the electric screw driver shaft longer to fit a double sided drill bit and it'll be even better and if you don't do that at least design the screw driver plastic to have a open notch to hold another drill bit.- Screw driver activation button, i think it could be positioned a little better. I think it should have been made to be a thumb button in that area under the white switch.____________________IN CONCLUSION:This product is really good. The only thing you need to fear is the white switch. That seems to be the most likely place this device will fail. Keep an eye out for that.AND NO, you can't drill holes into your wall with this screw driver, it's not THAT strong.Besides that, i recommend this product i think it's really good and worth the purchase.

This screwdriver is very light weight and fits perfectly in my (large) hand. It seems to hold a charge fairly well, even while sitting in it's usual place - the drawer. I only use it occasionally, for jobs around the house. I don't use it on anything that would tax the motor, so I don't know how well it would hold up in the face of long use and/or hard jobs where you need a lot of power. I figured the light was just a gimmick and wouldn't actual be bright enough (or aimed properly) to be of actual use, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is bright enough to be useful, and aims right at the screw tip. The head pivots, which helps get it into odd angles.There are just 2 places where I think it falls down, and, for some reason, those really bug me. First, you have to move a separate switch to the right or left to change the direction of the bit. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it would be better if the power button itself was a rocker switch that would go left or right, depending on if you are loosening or tightening a screw, instead of just a power switch. The driver I replaced had such a rocker switch, so I never left it on "tighten" when I needed it on "loosen". The other problem is that there's no place to put the screwdriver bits when you're not using it. That's a recipe for losing them in a drawer or dropping them while carrying them. They give you both a regular and a Phillip's head bit, which is okay, but why 2 bits if so many bits are 2-headed? I'm using my own 2-headed bit, but it keeps falling out because it doesn't fit exactly right. I know, first world problems, right?When all is said and done, I like this screwdriver and recommend it.

I’m particular about tools. I’ve trusted Black + Decker for years. Recently, I had to build a four piece bedroom suite and having done it with bit and screw drivers in the past, I was ready for a little convenience. My corded drill could have gotten the job done, but was a little bulky. This little electric screw driver is rechargeable, doesn’t need store bought batteries. It has enough torque for screws, but was a little challenged for the larger hex keyed lag bolts on the bed itself. Still, I was impressed. The light came in handy more than once, and keep it plugged in when I was reading instructions or taking a break kept it ready to go for close to 7 hours of work. Note: I expect good things from Black + Decker. I’ve owned their corded drill for 17 years, and their line trimmer for 14 years. It’s still hard to believe the original batteries still are good. They don’t hold as much charge, but that’s to be expected. This tool is an exceptional value.

I love this screwdriver! It holds a charge for ages, being able to bend it to a “gun” shape makes it really easy to access screws, so ergonomic. The light is helpful too. It’s powerful and versatile, I’ve even used it as a drill. Easy to change the bits and the accessory pack that’s available with it covers almost any type of screw head. I have more than one: in the kitchen utility drawer, the garage and my toolbox. My handyman used it and was so impressed with it that he bought one.

My last B&D screwdriver lasted 10 years so happy to buy another. I like the ergonomics of this - adjustable handle etc and controls easy to reach etc. light is useful. Powerful enough for home use. Hope it lasts 10+ years too!
