I take this potassium 2x daily because I have edema (chronic water retention) of the legs, so I have to take a diuretic (water loss pill) every day. Always talk to your doctor first but what mine said is that with a water loss pill (for me it's Diurex Max CAFFEINE FREE 40mg once a day), you lose water and also you lose potassium so to take 2 of the potassium for every 1 of the water loss pills to keep my body from retaining water. Another important thing to remember is to take this with a LOT of water. If you're taking this the same way I do, to put back potassium after taking a water loss pill, it's also very important to remember that if your body is retaining water it's because your body thinks it beeds more water so it holds on to water improperly and when you lose that water you must take potassium and drink extra water too, which seems contradictory but it tells your body that it's getting the water it needs without water retention. BUT... I am not a doctor and the amount of potassium in your body is a very delicate thing so ALWAYS talk to your doctor first.

I need a good potassium supplement to take when I take my prescribed Lasix for edema, from when I eat just the lowest amount of salty foods. I was having a hard time finding just plane jane Potassium. There were mostly potassium-this and potassium-that. I was tired of all the "potassium citrate's" and "potassium gluconate's" etc. Not just plain potassium! I had such a hard time choosing which one would be best for me? My Cardiologist told me to take potassium when I take lasix.I have pretty bad Edema. I wear compression socks daily but they are not enough. I have to take the Rx Lasix medication regularly. Taking the medication depletes your natural potassium, and it's required to take potassium when you take the medication. To avoid cramping of the muscles.The potassium gluconate gave me an upset stomach. The potassium citrate seemed to work, sometimes. I would not have cramps in my extremities when I took the citrate. BUT I would produce very little urine. Which is odd.THIS strait up Potasium, from 365 is AWESOME and WORKS! When I take it. I produce much larger amounts of urine, much easier when I am taking my Lasix (what lasix makes yo do, pee alot).I am Super happy with this 365 Potassium! It works awesome! I am now taking it daily, even if I do not take my lasix. As it is helping my entire body and it's processes. Major Impressed!Also, the taste isn't too bad. A chalky tylenol pill produces a much worse after-taste than these.5 Stars!

These (nearly useless) pills provide 2% RDA of potassiumOne serving of NuSalt provides 15% RDA.Shouldn't a supplement for a food provide more than 2% to be of any value?
