It is a faster cooking wild rice than most but has a great flavor with the spices they use. It saves a lot of time compared with the 20 minute wait with Uncle Ben's regular long grain and wild rice and other brands also.

It's quick and easy. The 5-minute rice tastes better and has a better texture than the regular long-time rice of the same flavor. After it's done, I usually take the lid of the pot and let it sit for an additional five minutes to absorb a bit more water. The rice also re-heats surprisingly well.

A bit pricey over buying at the store but delivery was convenient. Most of the boxes were crushed when they arrived but none were opened.

For some reason my local supermarkets only carry the regular 30 minute rice and we love cooking with the fast cook version. Tastes great, goes with lots of foods we eat and the kids love it too...
