5.0 out of 5 stars Very Effective Thickening Agent That Does Not Alter Taste
I've only used this stuff once so far, but wow! I follow a Keto diet so flour and corn starch are thickening agents I no longer use, but I really missed my sauces having some body, and heavy whipping cream and cream cheese only get you so far and they can change the taste of the dish. This product does not change the taste, and it does a beautiful job of thickening. Warning though, a little is all you need, I'm talking 1/2 tsp for a pot of soup, start with a small amount, you can always add more. Highly recommend!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Great Service!
This product was called for in a keto recipe for chocolate chip cookies. They turned out wonderfully! Although the Konjac gum was expensive, it was well worth it! The konjac gum worked exactly as it was supposed to, adding to the chewiness of ordinary choc chip cookies! Great service provided by the seller. The product arrived even ahead of expected time too!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice consistancy!
I used this for making a gel face mask and it gave me the perfect consistancy, however it was a bit cloudy. I will definitely use it in food!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product to thicken sauces
Very easy to use in recipes. There is no taste so does not alter the taste of the food. It thickens sauces and broths . Very good product. Will definitely order again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!!!
It's a bit pricey yes but it's worth every cent. Had no issues with this brand and definitely purchasing again. They said 1Tbsp per quart but that depends what's in the liquid so be careful not to add to much. Best added when using a blender unless you arm is savage fast!
1.0 out of 5 stars They don't give much info on front of package for a reason
I got this based on reviews. I was hoping to find an alternative to flour when making gravy. When I got this I turned over the package and it is Calories 350. I ended up using my regular flour. Then I tried to return (I didn't open the package) and they don't accept returns. Beware. I'm out $10. I'm going to throw it away. I did further research on konjac and this is what I found:Konjac risks and precautionsAccording to the FDA, some konjac candies have caused choking deaths in the elderly and in children. 5.0 out of 5 stars Flourless thickener
Expensive but I use so little. Great way to thicken a gravy if you are eating a ketogenic diet! Use 1/2 tsp per cup of liquid and let simmer as it takes awhile to thicken. Reheats well and doesn't leave a funny texture or taste.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great... But over priced
Good product but overpriced.
