I was immediately in love with the blue illumination and was surprised at how quickly it heats water. Can be used for mammy things other than making hot beverages, such as booking water for pasta. Simple to use and just so pretty.

LOVE THIS KETTLE! It’s beautiful to look at and works beautifully as well. The blue light is nice and bright. Have been using it for a few months with no issues. It takes a couple minutes to really start heating the water, but it gets boiling fairly quickly. It’s easy to clean (especially since it’s transparent and you can see the bottom well).We’ve had another electric kettle from Bolo which broke after about a year of use. This one is superior! Highly recommend!

Warning … this doesn’t hold a lot of water. About half the volume is needed because of the high rapid boiling temperature. That said, it is enough/perfect for one person (2 mugs?). And if you need more, it is very quick when refilled.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this over 2 months ago and now it’s review time! I use it 3-4 times a week for hot water from anything from tea to instant potatoes! It is fast, the blue lights look cool, and the self shut off is good peace of mind. This is my 1st electric tea kettle ever and since this Hamilton Beach product had good reviews I went with it. So glad I did. Recommend if you’re looking go ahead and get it!

I bought this after my Chef's Choice electric kettle (ASIN: B000A3J4JA) quit working. We had a good run considering that I had used it for 14 years.The model is now discontinued and I decided to give this one a shot. I like it just as much.Pros:1 [The visible] I didn't realize this before, but this kettle gives out useful visible cues. The Chef's Choice one is not transparent. I can guess how soon the water gets to the boiling point by listening to the noise it makes. In addition to that, I can also see the bubbles surfacing in this transparent kettle. If the bubbles get larger, I know that the water is almost ready. Do kettles need to be transparent? -- No. But it doesn't hurt to have some additional intuitive cues.2 [The capacity] For a guy like me who lives by himself and has a couple of friends over every now and then, 1 litter is the perfect amount. The Chef's Choice kettle I had has a 1.7 litter capacity, which, now that I think about it, is a bit too much. This one is smaller and space saving. Not by much, but still, it helps as I live in a shoebox.3 [Comparable noise level and boiling time] I can't compare the boiling time because, well, Chef's Choice one's broken. I think both take about the same time to boil. The noise level is reasonable and comparable.4 [Carefreeness] After Chef's Choice one broke, I thought I could just get by with a conventional stove-top kettle. Long story short, I couldn't. One of the greatest features of an electric kettle that I wasn't aware before is that once you pour the water in and flip the switch, that's it. You don't have to keep an eye on it because it just stops when it's done. For a stove-top kettle, you could burn your place down if you forgot to turn it off. What kind of a guy forgets that he put a kettle on stove? --Me (hold your judgement. I know I'm not alone in this).Cons:As some of the reviewers mentioned, there seems to be a mineral deposit buildup on the bottom. I actually had the same problem with Chef's Choice kettle. I think this is an inevitable problem among electric kettles. It's just that the buidup is more noticeable because this kettle is transparent. I just bought a long brush to clean it off every now and then. I can't get rid of them completely but I've just learned to live with it.It remains to be seen if this guy lives for as long as its predecessor.All in all, I'm pretty happy with this new kettle. May Chef's Choice kettle rest in peace.[Update in January, 2025]This morning, I dropped it by accident and broke it. I'm sure that the kettle lived for much longer than a 4-year run we have had if I wasn't such a klutz. It's been working just fine. I'm glad that they are still making this and I ordered a new one immediately (by immediately, I mean I can't live without it).
