My daughter has recently started school and is very into reading and spelling. I wanted to get her something that would keep her attention, as she’s still young and has a wild mind, but would also help her to build her reading and spelling skills. Since receiving the leap reader, we have probably read every book 10+ times. My daughter is SO engaged and I even enjoy reading them and doing the activities with her. Super simple to pack up in a traveler bag and take with us in the car. The pen also holds a great charge and lasts many uses. We swear by leapfrog products, always so great. 10/10!!

For those who have littles who enjoy looking at books but may not be able to read yet, highly recommend. Our daughter will spend hours on this reading every book. We eventually had l to limit her time so she would get out of the books. Super easy set up and was able to download other books and easy for a 4 year old to navigate. I like that there are activity games at the end of the books as well

All I can say is I am SOOOO GLAD I purchased this! My 8 Year old Down Syndrome daughter is still learning to read and she LOVES books. This is perfect for her! I have used other LeapFrog products in the past but this definately surpasses all of those. I'm impressed with this. My daughter loves, loves, loves this and it keeps her busy for a long time but she learning in the process!

I got one for my 5 year old and one for my 7 year old and these are FANTASTIC. I immediately sent the link to my family and friends for their kids. My kids had a pretty good grasp on reading, but these really helped. There are two different functions for different reading levels. You can either use the pen to read the book in its entirety to your child or they can use the pen to simply read a single word that they are having trouble with. There are also games in the back of the book that make the finishing of the book fun because you get to this fun reward at the end. Great for travel and really useful.

Really life the product for the price. Most of the books don’t appeal to my daughter, except for a few, so I wish there could be different book packages with the pen.. pen is decently loud but could be a little louder, does have an earphone plug in spot so that’s nice.. good battery life so far!

The media could not be loaded. Easy to use, sound quality is amazing, I can’t speak on durability but the pages of the books are thicker than your standard printer paper. I’m buying this for my soon to be four year old who LOVES books but doesn’t know how to read yet. Hoping this toy teachers her basic sight words, phonetics, and spelling eventually. I’m obsessed with it so I know my daughter will be too
