I've suffered for years with symptoms of many diseases & disorders. I came across information about Benfotiame B1 (thiamine) and began learning about deficiencies. I was blown away. It listed almost all of my [mysterious] illnesses that a dozen doctors couldn't figure out, and with the long list of all their symptoms I'd been experiencing. Benfotiamine is not your average B1. This bad boy can cross the blood brain barrier and get right into where it needs to begin healing. A B1 deficiency is known as the "Great Imitator". It mimics many disorders. But it is not the disorder, it is a deficiency, and in my case a severe one. Great News! The deficiency is also associated with high carb diets. The higher the worse condition. And so I was both shocked & relieved to learn the cause to such extreme conditions that can put you into a disabled state of health. A diet of High Carbs can be downright dangerous. We never knew lots of high insulin carbs were 'that' serious. I would highly recommend Dr Berg's videos on youtube about B1 deficiency - ALL of them, including the ones on diabetes, even though you may not have diabetes. I don't but B1 is massively involved in that too and is essential for all diabetics. I've been taking it for about 3 weeks and cannot believe my health turn about. I am taking 300mg 2-3 times daily, as I believed my depletion was severe. Benfotiame is blowing my mind! It feels like LIFE is flowing through me again. What a feeling. I am elated. The feeling of wellness is finally returning to my body. And FYI, I had become so ill I could barely walk from extreme weakness, exhaustion, and the myriad of debilitating symptoms. I feel alive again!... alert, increased brain processes, sleep, and much more. And it will continue. I will continue the dosing and begin reducing to 1 daily when I feel strong optimally. I will always take Benfotiamine knowing the amazing health benefits. Get this for any loved one who has diabetes too or high carb eater.

It was difficult finding any relevant information about benfotiamine from actual scientific studies, particularly in English and studies that didn't scream incompetence. So many studies are poorly done. That said, I did find several in German, dissected what worked and performed several of my own. I was initially an unbeliever in the product and I've been told by several doctors that there was no resolution to my neuropathy.The Protocol:However, after extensive research and extrapolation of function, I determined that a reasonable protocol to begin treatment was 2- 300mg capsules [1 morning and 1 evening] along with 600mg alpha-lipoic acid once a day. It took a full 60 days before I started noticing any consistent relief, though if I missed a morning or evening dose, the return of the pain reminded me.Over the course of 6 months, I achieved what I would call 100% relief in one foot and about 90% in the other. About half way in, I also added 300 mg of potassium which seemed to accelerate the process. I've stayed with this protocol and now if I miss a dose, there's no problem.Having seen my success, my wife also decided to start the protocol to relieve some peripheral nerve issues, which it did. However, the unexpected result was that her bilateral Morton's neuroma simply dissipated. About 90 days in, she noted that she was 30 days past the steroid injections that she'd been having for the last 7 years and just hadn't noticed. This was after the doctor had told her that we were to the point where surgery was where we were going. It has now been about 4 months and she's had no more issues with the neuromas.The only other advice that I'd give someone starting this process is that this is not a fast process and it probably won't help if you've been having problems for decades. Can't fix what has been broken a very long time. Stay with the program and don't expect to even notice anything for a while. The average time seems to be 6-8 weeks before changes occur.
