High strength, low viscosity, green, methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive which fluoresces under UV light to allow monitoring. LOCTITE 2701 is a green, low viscosity, methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive with high strength, especially for chromated surfaces. Steel fixture time of 10 min, brass 4 min and stainless steel 25 min. Tolerates slight contaminations of industrial oils. Suitable for all metal fasteners. Fluoresces under UV light.
Features :-
1. Prevents loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g. pumps, gear boxes or presses
2. Works on all metals, including passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel, aluminium, plated surfaces)
3. Proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids
4. Permits disassembly with hand tools

Application:
1. Clean all surfaces.
2. Use primer/activator for inactive substrate, large gap filling or low temperature cure.
3. Shake well before use.
4. Apply sufficient product onto the bolts at the nut engagement area.
5. Assemble and tighten as required.
6. Product cures in absence of air and presence of metal.

Received a FRESH, NEW bottle with nearly a 2 year expiration date. I know many here have reported a half empty bottle, and it is, BUT if you do a little research Loctite works anerobically. I requires AIR so it doesn't harden. This is why the bottle is not full and they use LDPE so the bottle can breath. I emptied the contents of mine, which again was 1/2 full, into a pill bottle and weighed the contents after zeroing the scale. Exactly 1.69oz for a 50mL bottle is what I got and you will too. I used some already to lock the nuts on a few pliers and it stopped the nut from rotating within 3 hours!! Chill people.

My motorcycle specifically called for Loctite 2701 in the manual. Being something special it was not the easiest to find. I was told I could use another version, but since it was available easily on Bolo, I just ordered the specified version. It arrived sealed, so no issues there. I used it as needed and been good to go. I doubt I will ever need to order more, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up here.
