These pickups sound almost exactly like the SD Jb"s and 59 for 30 bucks!!!! I am truly amazed by these pickups....I feel kinda stupid for always buying name brand thinking they were better....not at all...these Fleors are right up there in quality and sound. Will be buying more of these pickups in all the colors as I acquire new axes. These Fleors Rock!!!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Mission Accomplished
So I bought these to put in an Epiphone Les Paul Special 1. Mainly I thought the Zebra look would be more aesthetically pleasing. So sure enough love the look! Mission accomplished. But what about the sound? I bought these vintage wound output and these sound excellent. The stock pups were overwound and not my still.Get these while you can at these prices.
4.0 out of 5 stars I mean, they’re $30 . . . And sound pretty good
It’s really incredible what you can get for $30 these days. Installed a zebra set into one of those $100 eBay Les Paul kits I built. These pickups sound pretty darn good, though I only give them 4 star because of a couple issues. The good:- Output measured with a multimeter was within spec. Bridge was a little over 14k. Neck was around 7.5k. Those numbers drop a bit after installation, but that’s normal.- Pickups work fine. No issues with their functionality at all. Wired them up with coil splitting using push pull volume pots. And the colors match a Seymour Duncan wiring diagram.- As others have said, sound is really subjective. The quality of the player and the type of amp / rig matter a lot more than the type or quality of pickup. But I’m pleased with how these sound. I mostly just play through my iPad and bias fx. I’ve been able to dial up pretty much any les Paul tone, from Clapton on the Beano album to some modern metal Mesa boogie tones. My only point of comparison for these pickups is my Mexican HSS strat with a ceramic humbucker in the bridge. I can say that the tone of the Fleor alnico bridge pickup in my eBay les Paul sounds better to my ears than the tone of the ceramic humbucker in the bridge of my strat.- The zebra humbuckers are pretty cool looking, in my opinion. The bad:- The height adjustment screw holes in the metal were too small for the screw to fit through. I had to use a file to expand the hole and then force the screw through with a pair of channel locks. But once the screw went through, it was fine.- These pickups are pretty microphonic. Bolo says they are wax potted, but I’m not sure I buy that. Or at least, it doesn’t seem they wax potted mine too well. But hey, original PAF’s aren’t wax potted, and those are supposedly the holy grail.- The tone of the low E string on the neck pickup is really boomy and not clear or crisp. I’ve adjusted pickup height and put brand new elixir strings on my guitar. But that doesn’t make it better. Also fiddled with the settings on the amp. Didn’t make it much better either.- The lead wires out of the pickups are not shielded. I believe most higher quality humbuckers use the braided wire where the ground is the outer metal braid. I’m not really complaining about these pickups lacking that though,, because I put these in a $100 eBay kit, and just couldn’t bring myself to spend $6 on buying braided / shielded wiring for the rest of the guitar. But if that’s important to you, then just know that the lead wires are not shielded.- The lead wires from the neck are pretty short. Just had barely enough slack to solder them onto the pots. All in all, these are great value if you’re looking to out a cheap set of alnico pickups in a budget guitar. I would buy another set for $30
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Pickup at a Very Affordable Price
The media could not be loaded. Purchased a Chinese "tribute" Les Paul for a couple hundred dollars and needed to upgrade the electronics on it. While I'd love to have a couple Seymour Duncans in there, I didn't want to invest too much in this guitar. The pickups that came with it were serviceable, but lacked dynamic range and bite. I researched various sub-$40 pickups: Wilkinson, Fleor, Musiclily, Saphue, Guyker, etc. This Fleor Alnico 5 humbucker received good reviews and doesn't have the annoying brand name stamped on it, so I ordered it for $15.99. I had to search for a wiring diagram since one wasn't included. (black is live, green/bare is ground, red/white is for coil splitting.) Installation was easy enough. It attached securely to the pickup ring. Very little movement. They include the screws and springs. Wires were plenty long enough to reach the pots. They are quite thin, though. After a few hours of playing, so far, I'm impressed! They have more power than the cheap stock pickups, pleasant bright highs, and a warm growl to distortion. It actually handles pinch harmonics well. I definitely recommend this pickup for those on a budget or just don't want to spend hundreds on big name brands.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hot humbuckers for cool guitars!
This is a $30 slightly more abrasive SD JB, almost a DMZ distortion and something a little snappier than a SD Jazz/59. Great set for rock!Installed on a 1996 Vista Series Jagmaster w a master push-pull coil split w components by same brand. When coils are split, i get very awesome single coil tones that chime nicely.Very pleased w this purchase and this brand! Also, its your typical SD wiring.Green+bare = groundRed and white = solder together and tape it or solder the pair to a pull pot.Black = hot/lead/main
5.0 out of 5 stars Thumbs up for the money...
For the money I paid, these were a good choice. Had them installed on an IYV Green LP I also bought here. I tried to install them myself, but I suck at soldering. Hard to get in on a Les Paul. On a Strat I would think it would be easier to solder something because pick guards are drop-ins. In the end, I had to take it to a shop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a beginner guitar
The media could not be loaded. I'm rating this 5 stars for quick shipping, price and description. It works as expected.I used this on a cheap $50 guitar that had a bad bridge humbucker pickup. It was mailed in a large envelope, wrapped in aluminum foil and inside a plastic bag with 2 springs and 2 screws. The only problem the needs addressing is the springs are too long they need to be cut. That made it very difficult to put the screws in and then it limited how high 8 could raise the pickup. Its no where near how high I want it.I'm only using this guitar to practice at home so the sound is decent. Maybe if I cut the springs and raise the pickup it will be a little louder. All in all, for the price, it sounds fine.

Not as described. Pickup measures 8.5kOrdered this as being 14kUseless for what I wantes and expected. Will not order again
Better than expected, I’d buy again.
I’m a long time player/guitar modder. This review is for the Fleor Alnico 5 zebra pickups, the 8-9k bridge and neck pickups. I used the multimeter on these before installing; Neck: 8.02k; Bridge: 8.46k, which is what I was looking for.Installed in a Westcreek Racer (SG type) that had terrible stock pickups (I also replaced all four pots at the same time). These Fleor pickups surprised me in how much I like them, both the bridge and the neck. They handle distortion well. No problem getting into classic rock, rock, or even classic metal.Overall, they have a nice, slight brightness to them. They’re dynamic and respond to the player’s touch. They also clean up well, meaning I can roll back the volume knob to decrease the gain to get a nearly clean tone. The four colored wires are the same color code as Seymour Duncan pickups (which are different from DiMarzio). I was surprised that the green wire and the ground wire were already threaded together at the ends. Same with the red and the white wires (see pic). Once I saw that, I immediately knew that the black was the lead. Very impressive for a $34 pickup set. Also, there was a clear film over the pickups to keep them from getting scratched. Nice touch. The backplates each had a Fleor sticker and also had "N" and "B" stamped into them for Neck and Bridge.I’d order these again, or perhaps other Fleor pickups. A+.
Perfect 👍
Didn't face any problem while replacing.

Buen sonido.
