Impressed with the quality of this quinoa. It's my first time trying tricolored quinoa, and I love the added texture of the darker quinoa.I also make this for my parrots to add to their chop, and they absolutely love it! The different colors and textures makes this attractive to them.The container isn't enormous, but it's a good size for the price.The darker quinoas are smaller, so definitely need a wire mesh strainer to rinse this. You'll still lose a few pieces through the mesh when washing it, but nothing that's unacceptable.The cooking time is the same as with any quinoa I've made in the past.Will definitely buy this again in the future. Might even add it to subscribe and save.

I bought this because I wanted the tricolor. It cooks up well and has a good taste and texture. The price per ounce is reasonable - it's in line with other brands.The real problem is the container. I'm not happy about having to deal with a bunch of plastic jars. It wouldn't be that bad, except for the size of the container. It's a lot smaller than I expected.The package says "approximately 14 servings/ 1 quarter cup per serving". This means that the entire container has about 3.5 cups total. I don't know anyone who makes this 1 serving at a time. And if you're cooking for a family or just to have some premade for the week, you will get about 3 meals out of this.As good as the product itself is, it's not worth it to me to buy it in this size container.So I'll switching to another brand I'm familiar with and buying a LOT more at once, even if I can only get the white quinoa and not the tricolor. And I'll be looking for a resealable bag instead of a plastic jar.
