My 1 year old son some how got his hands on it so I actually sat down and read the instructions and have been playing it all day since. Simple yet fulfilling and a good waste of time if you can’t actually fish. I paid 15 dollars which might sound steep. See they are 40 dollars now.. enjoyable but not for 40 dollars. 15 is reasonable.

It broke with in 5 minutes. Started making a horrible noise from the speaker then shut off and never came back on right ever since

Same as the old handheld games. Simple ink and pattern display. No real animation, no backlight, tiny screen. Great throwback gift, but technology has improved enough than this could be made better for the same price. Straight late 80’s-early 90’s tech..

It's just ok. It's not as good as the old Radica handheld fishing games. The screen is tiny and hard to see. You better have good eyes to see your bait. There is no backlight on the screen either so you need to be in a well lit area. It's not bad for $20 but I don't think I'd buy it again. My 6 year old is playing it now but he keeps getting distracted by Spongebob on TV so that shows how fun it is.

Depending on your expectations this fishing game can be excellent. The screen is small and the gameplay is basic. The only thing I did not like is that the screen is angled the wrong way causing the player to hold the pole in the upright position. This makes it difficult to pull up to hook the fish when it takes the bait. It would have been better to angle the screen in the opposite direction. I replaced the batteries right away. Don’t trust the cheap ones. They leak every time. I recommend this fishing game. It’s low tech but fun if you don’t expect much. For the price you can’t go wrong.

I paid 42.00 through Bolo and there is a sticker on the back of the Electronic sport fishing that says : Scheels 24.99. When I called Scheels, they told me that someone is buying them, and reselling them on line. He also told me that today it is on a Cyber Monday sale for 19.99, much better price than 42.00.

The rod did not work
This was a gift for a friend and when he opened it, the rod did not work. The batteries were dead. To change them a person has to get a very small screw driver to open up the battery compartment. It was a bit of a hassle.
Great simple gift
I know it seems silly in our age of technology, but we gave this to our father-in-law for Christmas and he just loves it! He had one in the 90s and this one is just the same and he’s on it anytime he’s relaxing. Getting one for my dad, and cousins are getting one for their dads lol
