Our story begins in 1919. That’s when the world was introduced to what you now know as the Hostess CupCake. It’s perhaps the first and most significant moment in the history of snack cakes. Just ask your great grandpappy. He was there. Six years later, Continental Baking wanted to add a line of cakes to sell alongside a hot little item they were making called Wonder bread. This new line of sweet treats became known as Hostess. And a brand was born. Continental hit the sponge cake gold mine in 1930 when Jimmy Dewar invented Twinkies. At two for a nickel, popularity skyrocketed and it soon became Hostess’ best-selling snack cake. Twinkies have since become an American icon. Half a billion are made each year. That’s a lot of creme filling! In the summer of 1995, Interstate Bakeries Corporation acquired Continental Baking Company. This made Interstate the largest wholesale baker of fresh delivered bread and cake in the United States. In 2009, Interstate changed its name to Hostess Brands, Inc., to better reflect our beloved brands. Fast forward to present day, and we’re continuing to turn everyday moments into small celebrations with a variety of new and classic treats like Ding Dongs, Ho Hos and Donettes, just to name a few. I'm 54 I use to eat these as a child and let me tell you they taste just like they use to, maybe a touch smaller, but Ohhhh so good.

Remember the old waxy chocolate-covered rolled tubes of delicious rolled "HoHos" you used to get?These are not them. When Hostess went bankrupt and sold off their brands, others are now involved.And they did not follow the recipe. These "HoHos" now have crumbling "chocolate sheets" falling off.I'm pretty sure you could easily make your own Ho Hos that would be much better if really wanted to try.The chocolate is different and not very delicious, even for junk food. You will be disappointed I'm sure.They will make a big mess if you try to eat them, unlike the original product that I really liked long ago.I will not but this product again and urge you to only get a small trial size or just don't even bother.

The hohos are good. However, they’re less round and kinda flat and somehow lack cream now. But still yummy.

It was a gift for my daughter. However I sent them to TN with my grandson and he ate them all on his drive!! So, I guess they were good?

I love these cakes normally but after 2 tries I wouldn't order again. Maybe because of temperature changes in shipping. They were in date but tasted stale and the chocolate fell off.
