It took me a while to figure it out. I worried about damaging the cigar. I would spin the tool like a drill and the gently spin it backwards as I pulled it back out. It was OK but not great as a way to improve the smoke.My friend also had purchased the tool. Together we figured out that you want to make a tunnel up the center of the cigar. So it is more like a pipe than having the smoke filter thru tightly packed tobacco leaves. So now I will firmly push the tool in while being careful that it is well centered. Then I spin but firmly pull back as I spin the tool to make that 'tunnel' I mentioned. I put the tool in all the way too. Plus when the tool is almost out of the cigar, I carefully keep spinning and pushing to be sure the tunnel entrance is round and clean - and that all the little tobacco bits that I loosened have been pulled out. Done this way, the amount of smoke and easy of the draw, is amazing.

This product is Perfec (sic)! I don't know how I was unaware of this since it's been out for years, but it works splendidly. In the last 2 weeks, I've tossed 3 cigars in the bushes because they were plugged. No more! This really, really works. The design is impeccable, I would not bother with trying other cigar tools. Just get one.

Works as intended. Purchase a cigar that's rolled to tight for a nice draw, use the perfect draw tool to allow for a smoother easier draw. Only 4 stars due to its flimsy material makeup. The handle, hollow sheathe, and end cap is fine. The slender shaft that's used to crate a more perfect draw is aluminum, which I found to be adequate until you accidentally catch the end on something and it bends before you realize it. Oh, I was able to bend it back, to a point, but it's reminiscent of a paper clip, you can try to straighten it and with enough time you may do it, but yeah. That's my only gripe. It is a great tool though. In case you're wondering, I was able to get it straight enough, but it still wants to curve off to one side or another, just gotta work with it more than before.

I’ve had this for about four years and it works great. I smoked premium cigars, and from time to time I find that the tobacco is very tight under the wrapper. This works perfectly. Unlike some of the others that are advertised, this is not just a drill bit. It’s engineered very well and is very sharp.

Seriously, don't waste your time buying something different because it's cheaper like I did. Other tools only poke holes, the reverse barbs on this rip right through any blockage. Already paid for itself

Expensive but great tool.
Worth Every Penny!
Works as advertised and will definitely pay for itself after saving a few plugged cigars. The teeth are very sharp and do a great job of cutting through the tobacco and pulling out the excess. Just make sure to use as directed in the video and take out a little at a time. Unlike other cigar skewers this will remove the excess tobacco rather than pushing it to the side risking cracking the wrapper. Also works great as a nubber.

Excellent produit! Évidemment le prix fait bondir pour un "si petit gadget" mais ceux qui ont été confronté à un cigare qui ne tire pas et se sont battus avec un pic à brochette (on fait avec les moyens du bord...) le diront: il vaut largement son prix! Le produit est de très bonne facture et fonctionne à merveille, je ne regrette vraiment pas mon achat et ne peux que vous le recommander.
