Okay listen… I have tried so many Pinterest hair hacks and most of them end with me looking like I stuck my finger in a socket. 😂 But THIS little bun maker actually works! I can wrangle my long hair into a cute, clean bun in literally one minute — even with toddlers climbing me like a jungle gym.It holds really well and makes me look way more put-together than I actually am. Perfect for days when I want to pretend I’m a classy ballerina but really I’m just trying to hide the fact that I haven’t washed my hair in… a while.I had not problem with pulling my hair or falling out. The donut never worked for my hair always came out. Super light and doesn’t cause any migraines from weighting my hair down.If you have long hair and no time, get it. If you have short hair… maybe just cheer us on from the sidelines. 🤣

Took me several tries to get it on my daughters hair but it worked pretty well when I got the hang of it. She has layered hair so it was a bit of a challenge but I got it to work.

LOVE! These are SO much better than all the other gadgets I’ve tried. If you’ve used a donut of any type, you will find using these even easier. If you haven’t, no worries. The learning curve is steep.For me, donuts took multiple tries to get my hair right, and within a couple hours my bun would flop around and fall. With one of these snap gadgets, my hair goes up on the first try. Even better, it STAYS up all day long, with a hold that is firm without pinching, pulling, or damage. Bliss.My hair is long and “pokey”, i.e. aggressively straight. Taken in total it is a thick bundle, but each individual hair is baby fine. Strange but true. “You’re a chinchilla”, says my partner. This means my hair is incredibly slippery and hard to style and manipulate. It won’t hold curl and traditional gadgets always slide out within minutes. It also damages easily. It will not tolerate abuse of any kind.I used to rely on the foam-covered type of bun-maker. They were the first thing I ever found that held my hair up for more than 15 minutes. At first I was pleased, but then they turned out to be a disposable product. After a few uses they ripped apart or the metal inside the foam became so kinky and twisted it was useless. What seemed cheap and practical at first turned out to be costly and annoying—like pantyhose—because I had to re-stock every week. And I felt guilty, tossing the plastic packaging, foam, and mangled metal into the trash every few days.These work beautifully for me, and if they work for me they should work for anyone.

I am headed to Air Force Basic in a few weeks and, lemme tell ya, I have been obsessively trying every bun maker and bun making technique out there. The main things I look for are how difficult it is to get a bun in i.e. how long it takes and how perfect the bun looks. Even if I'm not expected to maintain the most perfect bun, I strive for perfection anyways. And, this bun maker has gotten me the closest to making a perfect bun in my hair in record time. Granted, I had to practice A LOT - I am not good at doing anything involving my hair beyond a ponytail or braid. But, once I was through that phase, I was extremely please and plan to take this tool down to basic with me.Unfortunately, this bun maker does have one issue - it falls apart easily (the middle section comes unglued and it becomes two pieces). Now, based of my practice runs, I estimate, if I put a bun in my hair with it every day, it will last for two weeks, so I'll be bringing four of these suckers down with me. To note, you can still make a bun with these if they fall apart, but, BE WARNED, the sharp edges of the hard pieces inside will destroy your hands while you put the bun up. I realized this after the first one fell apart and I decided to keep using it in my practice buns. Over those three days, I noticed my hands had a lot of random cuts and little chunks of skin missing - not enough to be a bother, but it was annoying and I could not figure out what was wrong. That is, until I was putting a bun in on the four day and it sliced my index finger right open to the point where it took quite a bit of pressure and time to stop bleeding.I love this bun maker, so I was really upset about this con. But, the pros absolutely outweigh the cons and the price is worth it. If you just randomly do buns every once in a while, you should have no issues as long as you're willing to occasionally replace it. However, if you're hardcore needing them every day for an extended period of time like me, you're gonna want to think about it. As I've made it clear, I will be sticking with the product - maybe I'll try to find a way to reinforce the strength of the material used to make it...

I was so looking forward to these since I haven’t been able to find the ones I used to like. They’re good, and usually do what you need them too. However, the snap bracelet aspect of it is often so frustrating to use that I’ll spend forever trying to use them without them snapping at the wrong time and end up throwing in the towel. Might be a long hair issue but still makes for a frustrating experience. Granted you can SOMETIMES get a really cute bun out of these! Just need an hour or two and the patience of a saint.

I purchased this product because it looked like it would be an easy way to make a bun. Not so easy. If all your hair is pretty much the same length I would say it would be easier than like mine that has layers.

Premetto che ho i capelli lisci, elettrici e lunghi poco sotto le spalle, dopo qualche tentativo ed aver affinato la tecnica, funziona! Tiene bene e crea uno chignon molto carino. Basta fare una coda, metterla fra le due listelle, scorrere i capelli in fondo, arrotolare fino alla base della coda e dare l'invito alla listella per chiudersi a forma di cerchietto e... tac tac tac il gioco è fatto! Avendo i capelli lisci ed elettrici qualcuno sfugge, ma mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso la tenuta ed il fatto che non spezzi i capelli, è molto delicato e anche facile da togliere, basta dare alle listelle, prendendone il capo, l'invito per riprendere la forma dritta e tac tac tac si scioglie. Consigliato!
