This is my 3rd purchase of this product. Have one at home and one at work. After 10+ years of use my home unit stopped turning on. As I only use it with purified water it has remained pristine through the years. Avoid all plastic when possible. Prefer a wide opening. It rapidly heats the water, faster than gas range or microwave. Gets used multiple times a day.

I really like this kettle, looks and feels like a good strong quality kettle, use it daily for the past 4 years or so and has never failed. It has a removeable scale filter, a sight glass, cool exterior and handle, rubberized grip for no slip control, the chord will wind up in base or extend if you need the extra length. Will definitely buy this again.

I use this as a tea kettle, and it works well. It's more basic than my previous kettle, this one doesn't have any temperature settings or stay warm button, it's literally the kettle and an on/off switch with a bell that goes off once the water has heated up, but that's all you really need. I use it with distilled water, so it never cakes up with limescale. Highly recommended, basic but reliable.

This is simply the best electric tea pot I’ve had in 40 years! It heats water very quickly, is easy to fill, I love the window to gauge the fill level, love the little blue light on the on button. I’ve had it over a year with no problems. And did I say I’m in love? Yes, with this brand as I also purchased the Braville 4 slice toaster. It also is perfect! And I love the little chime when the toast is done to perfection!

The media could not be loaded. This is the third Breville kettle of the same model, and it did not last 2 years (bought in May 2021).The first one I have received as a gift about 10 years ago, and it broke after a month or so. It was replaced by the person who gifted the original one, with apologies.The second lasted a good 7-8 years. When it eventually broke, I bought this one, in May 2021.During last 2 weeks, several issues came up:1. the lid got cracked (picture)2. the base is jammed and holds the kettle when you lift it up (picture)3. during heating, the power goes on and off and on and off, the heating never completes (video).So at this stage it is useless and broken. I should probably call the Breville support.

This is my second one, my first kettle lasted about 10 years. Breville is the best brand out there for all my kitchen appliances. Are they more expensive, yes. Do they last forever, also yes. This kettle checks all my boxes: Heats quickly, 1 button to turn on, easy to clean and fill, last forever.

I bought my first, almost identical, Breville kettle in 2006 and have used it daily since then. Recently the interior screen that slides into position to strain the hot water broke so I decided it was time for a new kettle. I've always loved the retro design of this kettle and couldn't find anything I liked better, so I now have V.2 of the Breville kettle. Both are a very solid grade of stainless steel and the only difference I can spot in form and function is that there's now a see-through water level indicator on each side of the pot (one in cups, one in ml) instead of one behind the handle. Its only job is to heat water and it does a fast job of that. It also gives me delight every time I handle it.

My old Breville kettle lasted 11 years. It was still going strong but switched it out because my old kettle was not bpa free. The new kettle has a better design with two windows front and back so that you can see the water boil and it is lighter which is nice. It is BPA free and has a long cord. The old kettle’s window was at the back of the kettle and lit up which was a nice feature but I prefer the new design. Here’s hoping my new Breville kettle lasts as long.

Quality Kettle
This is the second Breville kettle we’ve owned. The first one lasted us 12 years and then developed a crack in both the handle and lid. It still worked fine but we didn’t want to risk an accident with boiling water if the handle failed. This one seems to be a better build so hopefully will last us even longer.

For years I've searched for a kettle that goes "ding!" when it's done, so I'm alerted to the presence of bubbly water from the other side of the house.Build quality is excellent and this kettle has been making bubbly water for some time now with no issues.
Very heavy when full of water.
I like this kettle-It heats up quick and easy to pour.
