These are the best gym pants for tween boys! My tall 12 year old son wears them most days. Love the draw string waist. They have pockets which is excellent. Very comfortable and good quality fabric. These wash well! Just don't let them slide across the gym floor on their knees - we have definitely burned some holes in the fabric when doing that.

Ordering a LARGE for our 13 year old I was not surprised that these were a little long on him as he is short for his age. He is not fat but definitely on the stocky side. We discussed returning them and getting the medium but I honestly think that size would have been too small everywhere else. The LARGE fit very nicely around his waist and upper legs. He has been wearing them now for several days with no complaints. There are two side pockets but NO back pocket. Three red stripes go down the side. These pants have an elasticated waist with a drawstring to enable you to tighten the waist further if so desired.Appear to be well made.100% polyester. For those of you who may not be sure what "tricot" means, the fabric is 'silky/shiny' on the outside and almost fleece like on the inside making them very comfortable to wear.Laundry instructions say to machine wash COLD. If you need to dry them in the dryer, do it on low.SO if you have a 13/14 year old that is of average height these should work great for you. We're happy! Thanks, Liz

These run large. I would bump down a size for immediate use. We ordered a small for my 6 year old. He normally wears size 6-7. These are longer and the waist is baggy but I imagine he will grow into them by fall so we kept them. Good quality pants. Would buy again! Also, they do have a functional drawstring to adjust the waist band!

We love Adidas track pants; my preteens wear them almost exclusively in the California winters; and this is a great price for them. I ordered 6 new pairs for this year based on the pictures, which show open bottom legs, while the pairs we received were closed bottom (with the elastic at the ankles).We actually prefer the banded ankle, but my kids take those in a size larger, so now these are all going back to exchange for the next size up - hoping those aren't sent in the style pictured, cause then they'll be too big! What an adventure.
