I've purchased this product in the past and it has always been solid. Unfortunately, a newly delivered batch is both stale and rancid - leaving a horrid aftertaste. These bars have always been a bit crumbly - though truly tasty. I checked the date and the product is still within the window. Not sure what happened to Bulletproof bars, but for this price, I'll not risk it again.

They are really good! And they do not spike my glucose. Was worried they would be like cardboard but they are soft, dense texture and taste really good!

I bought these for their some what low sodium content. I have a health condition that affects my ability to deal with sodium.Finding a protein bar that I can have is very difficult for me. I have other health issues that restrict so many things from my diet.So, these seemed like a possible option. Most of the ingredients are healthy.But, wow, you’d think something with 12 grams of fat from cashews, would be softer.The bar crumbled in my hand when I tried to remove it from the wrapper. When I attempted to take a bite of it, I gagged. I needed to drink water immediately after.I have had rice cakes with more moisture to them.I forced myself to finish the whole bar, drinking water while eating it, in order to get it down. I guess to finish the experiment.Any way, I eventually tried them again. Maybe the first bar I had was not wrapped properly, because the rest of the bars in box were not as bad. Slightly less dry, and much better taste than that first one.Now, with my rare condition, I need to take diuretics if I have one, due to the added sea salt. Yes, even sea salt. I know, it sucks. I can hardly have anything that tastes good ,besides fruit.So, these are ok. Not great, but until I find something that is better for me, I might try them again.

So, these tasted okay if a bit dry, but I made the mistake of eating several of them for a quick lunch. Suffice to say, these aren't for everyone and over the course of several hours I was constantly running to the bathroom, and when I was not doing that I was rehydrating.Anyhow, if you try these, try one and give it a few hours to see how you react.
