Exactly the same as in the stores
Certo arrived on time, & has a long shelf life. Was the same price as in the grocery store, but I didn't have to drive an hour to get it. I am happy that Bolo sells this I will be ordering more.
Hot pepper jam / jelly - set up nicely using lots of sugar, vinegar and some hot peppers
I wasn't sure if my first ever foray into hot pepper jam (jelly) making would go well, given my lack of experience. I am very glad to report back that 1 packet of this Certo liquid pectin was able to produce a jam that set up very nicely!I will say that when following the recipe, you have got to be darn sure that you watch the pot 100% of the time!! I was removing all the sterilized jars from their boiling pot and my jam mix boiled over and made a HUGE mess of my stove. This happened of course while I was waiting for the critical "exactly 1 minute" of hard boiling to happen.Picture this - me, panic stirring while trying to blow out a fire that has started because of the thick sugar syrup boiling over and burning under the electric element. I thought that I had ruined the entire batch but I kept going despite the circus that unfolded.Boy am I glad that the Certo liquid pectin saved the day! I have a beautiful and tasty hot jam!

Certo has been around for over 100 years. My grandmother used Certo to make jam and jellies for many years, same as my Mom and myself.I have a Certo recipe book from 1922 and I still use those recipes with great success.
