Ordered these to use on outdoor grill! They are nice and long keeping hands out of the heat. They have a great locking mechanism along with a loop so they can be hung up when not in use or hung on an "S" hook on the grill. They have a very nice rubber grip and they are good and sturdy for heavier chunks of meat. I highly recommend these tongs!

I specifically purchased these tongs for their advertised length of 17.7” to avoid frying my fingers over my new griddle. As you can see from the picture, they are not as advertised. With the hanging hook at its full extension, the length barely meets 16”. At best, there’s 15” of useable tool.The quality is okay. They are similar in stiffness to my Oxo brand tongs and I think they would work fine for typical food turning. There is a small amount of side to side play, but it’s within normal amounts for this style of connection. It’s no more than my Oxos, and I’ve never felt they were sloppy.I don’t care for the locking tab though. It’s a bit tight and has a habit of slipping a tiny bit while using the tongs. This results in the tongs not fully opening.I think these things are decent for the price. However, they are slightly too short for me and the locking tab annoyance is enough to push me over to the “return them and look for something else” category.Looks like I’m still stuck with sizzled phalanges for the time being.
