I'm a lighting enthusiast and lamp collector. Like, my living room has 19 lamps in it; and a few fixtures too. No, I don't turn them on all at once. I create a mood by switching it up. Anyway, since I'm a light bulb hog, I was a very early adopter of LED bulbs because they do slash a power bill for a super user like me. And I'm on to my 2nd and even 3rd gen with LEDs because I've truly used them for 50K hours. But I digress. These are significantly brighter than the bulbs of "equal" lumens they replaced. No complaints there because I can, and do, dim them for ambiance. Perfectly warm light, in that pleasing 2700-3K temp--I never use those bluer light temp bulbs. When I started out with LEDs, I spent top dollar on famous name brands. I wanted the best product. At this point in the evolution of LEDS, it was nice to find a good brand at such bargain-type price. So I'm perfectly satisfied and highly recommend the Sylvanias at this point. As for longevity, call me in five years.

This is a really good bulb because it came in bad condition. It seems to have been crushed and still works. Unfortunately, though it worked, it goes in a location where it will be visible so I had to replace it with the same item. It was packaged perfectly for shipment so I believe it was packed damaged. I’m hoping the replacement comes in perfect condition.

OK - it's a light bulb. Even LED's are fairly common. I'm using these to light a screened porch. The cool-white light does an excellent job of this. I cook on a black-colored griddle and cooking in dim light required I wear a 'headlight' in order to see the food clearly. No more. My porch is lit like a commercial kitchen.The bulbs dim so that we can enjoy the porch without being overwhelmed with light. They do flicker a bit at the lowest settings.

In general, these bulbs are just what you expect: replacements for regular light bulbs. They screw into regular light bulb sockets. They are only a little longer than incandescent light bulbs, so they fit most fixtures without a problem. They're dimmable, so they work with dimmer switches (of course), and should also work with older electronic timer switches.The reason I bought these bulbs was the color temperature - that's the number in the bulb specs that ends with the letter K. (The K stands for Kelvin.) Soft White is 2700K, and I find that too yellow for my tastes. Daylight is 5000K, which is blue-white light, in my home, which has lots of off-white paint and natural woodwork, I find that Daylight makes those colors look eerie and the woodwork look dark and lifeless. I like Warm White and Bright White, which usually indicates a color temperature of 3000K to 3500K, but I get the impression that they aren't standardized color descriptors, as opposed to Soft White and Daylight, which are consistent. More to the point, though, bulbs with color temperatures other than Soft White and Daylight are hard to find where I live, so I've come to shop online for my light bulbs. These bulbs are 3500K. I've used a couple of them already, and they make my home's interior look its best.

A subtle difference compared to 3000k 800 lumen bulbs, but I like it
There is currently not a lot of selection for A19 bulbs under 5000k but over 3000k. I did a few comparisons of these with my Globe 3000k 800 lumen bulbs, and the difference is a little less than I thought it might be, considering that I found there to be a big difference between 2700k and 2850k bulbs. The difference between this bulb and the globe 3000k bulb seemed similar to the degree of difference between GE 2850k bulb and the 3000k Globe bulb. I don't know if that's because the human nervous system is more sensitive to the difference between some levels than others, or if it's because the stated colour temperature isn't super precise, or perhaps it's something to do with the conditions under which I was doing the comparison. In any case, I am quite happy with the light which comes from these.I am currently using one in my hallway, and I think it would likely be good for something like a game room or children's activity room, or also dining rooms or living rooms, depending on what sort of activities you do in those spaces, and what sorts of light fixtures you have, how big the space is, or what the colour of the ceiling, walls, and floor is (you may need to go with something brighter, or multiple bulbs, depending on the space). Personally I found 3000k to be preferable in my bathroom, but these 3500k bulbs might also be a good fit in your bathroom as well.For any area where you will be doing some kind of work, like an office, kitchen, art studio, or even a game room of some kind (ping-pong/ pool/ card games/ board games), you probably want to use something over 3000k. If 5000k seems too harsh, these 3500k bulbs offer a much more subtle difference vs. more standard 2700-3000k bulbs.
Reliable, dimmable bulbs
Our previous dimmable LED bulbs would not work with the new network-enabled electronic dimmer we installed. The Sylvania bulbs solved the problem, and deliver a nicer warmer light in our living room.
Bright for a kitchen
Kept the old kitchen light going with less power. Better than trusting those Chinese non- CSA LED lights. I'd trust Sylvania brand name over them anytime. I'm a 28 yr veteran JM Electrician if that means anything these days.
