We did very well with MCT oil, after slowly increasing dosage over a month+, , but for cost purposes, switched off to coconut oil for a year or so.... provably 2014-ish. Switching back, all but one of the MCT oil brands gave us both migraines. Turns out MCT oil is a common migraine trigger. But... why did the one brand not cause it? Well, now I’m convinced its about quality. The cheaper the MCT oil, the more severe the migraine. I was very worried about spending the money on this brand, since it was a total gamble, but... NO MIGRAINES! I think C12’s and C10’s just aren’t so good for us mito-gals.I got fed up with Bulletproof when I saw the 31% price increase between December and January. Before that, I was seriously peeved at having to order Brain Octane Oil in a plastic bottle, not to mention, a horrible bottle that leaked everywhere, since I’d learned about the extent to which toxins leach into anything we consume... from a Bulletproof podcast. I decided to look for a C8 oil with a price point closer to the $34.92 I’d paid for Bulletproof in December, to avoid paying the $45.75 they’ve been wanting for a 32 oz bottle of Brain Octane Oil, since.Bonus finding this... cheaper, AND IN A GLASS BOTTLE!!!!! Pump is definitely not perfect, but before you slam the bottle, bounce over and spend some time with the reviews for Brain Octane Oil, and you just might agree with my feeling that Kiss My Keto is doing everything they can to improve upon the misery that is the Brain Octane packaging. In regard to the 3” too long pump tubing... I love it. Sure, you have the option to cut to just the right length for you... do you want to wedge the straw into a corner, so you can tip the bottle and pump every last bit out? Or would you prefer to cut the straw a bit shorter, and leave a few drops behind when the bottle is finished? I say... slowly bend your dangled straw. Curl it as much as possible, to avoid kinking it... and odds are it will be right where it needs to be to pump every possible drop from the bottle. The bottle, yep. It’s glass, and as mentioned before, I majorly applaud them for that. But, its breakable, as glass has a tendency to be. It’s not a kombucha quality glass, by any means, but they could also get away with using much cheaper, thinner glass. I've experienced a few mishaps due to Bolo’s packaging when they fulfill the orders. Not fun... but the fault lies with Bolo, and Bolo is always good at making it right.... but of course they dont come over to clean up the mess you deal with. Guess Ive concluded its an occasional risk factor that is far-outweighed by benefits. What was I saying? Yeah, Need some Kiss My Keto now, so I can stay on track and focus, right? That’s gonna take some getting used to, having said “Need My Brain Octane” countless times. Since I know the alternative, this is a wonderful product, with founders who seem like they will improve with time.
5.0 out of 5 stars MCT C8 based with convenient pump
This MCT is all C8 based. The price is attractive. The pump is fantastic, no needed to get out the tablespoon, just 3 pumps and your done.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great unusual remedy for perioral dermatitis and diaper rash!
I have severe perioral dermatitis and was recommended to use MCT oil that specifically does not contain lauric acid (which is typically present in coconut oils and has the potential to feed yeast and make the rash worse). I was eager to try this MCT oil topically when I realized that it does not in fact contain lauric acid.I have used this for about a year and can say that it works wonderfully for me when I have flare ups. This is the ONLY topical product that has genuinely worked (in combination with using probiotic bar soap) for my very stubborn and chronic perioral dermatitis and trust me, I’ve tried COUNTLESS products to try to get rid of this rash.I have also used it on my baby’s diaper rash and it works great in protecting the skin and clearing it up so fast!I’m so happy that I found this unconventional method for using this product. One jar has lasted me over a year and I suspect that I’ll get another years worth of use out of it. It has been an absolute lifesaver! So happy to find an incredibly useful natural and non-toxic product which I’ve found several uses for!
5.0 out of 5 stars Oil Cleanser for Malassezia-Free Skin
CONTEXT – Kiss my Keto C8 has become an integral part of my skincare ritual, which I recently amped up after discovering that my longtime acne affliction might actually be the result of an overfriendly fungus aka Pityrosporum Folliculitus, or Malassezia. I ended up getting this oil after reading extensively about the benefits of the OCM (or, for the unordained, Oil Cleansing Method), and seeing this MCT oil recommended by FC from Simple Skin Care Science, because, it specifically has a shorter carbon chain (which apparently is good for kicking Malassezia breakouts in the butt.)TECHNIQUE – I apply with dry hands onto a dry face. The consistency is oily but not unpleasant. I follow this by applying Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser on top as the second-step of the OCM process; and then after softly massaging my face, I wash it all off with water.VERDICT – This takes makeup off like a dream –– even, for the most part, my Majorca Majolica Mascara (HG product, but notoriously difficult to remove, stuff stays on like superglue.) And dare I say it? But I think it's played a significant role in what's been a slow, but exciting process of clearing my skin – or at least a laudable supporting role, with the added benefit of moisturizing. While not cheap for what is essentially a facial soap –– it's been three months, and I've barely made a dent in the enormous bottle. And considering that I'm 1. using it as a combination makeup-remover, facial soap, and moisturizer, 2. it doesn't break me out and 3. it is actually helping my face heal, I think it's been more than worth it.
4.0 out of 5 stars scalp hydration

5.0 out of 5 stars None Purer
I prefer powder (for which some research demonstrates slightly better absorption—for which, without a doubt, it's easier, cleaner, lighter, and more practical to transport during travel), but I found that even the best powders are not 100% C8: this oil, however, is—and sourcing is clean.
1.0 out of 5 stars OOOPS, Sorry we forgot to tell you all we switched from glass to plastic. - Alex, Founder.
As luck would have it, we just threw out the old MCT Oil glass bottle to go out with the recycling yesterday thinking why would we need the empty glass bottle. Today my new order arrived and it's in plastic. And don't let anyone tell you PET/PETE is the most recyclable plastic and is ok. It's actual global recycle rates are about 20-30%. Going to plastic was a bottom line problem, nothing more.

I massage a splash of this oil into my skin than wipe it off with a warm and damp cloth. It is a very light, odourless, and perfect oil if you have malassezia. It leaves your skin feeling clean but moisturised. The pump that comes with the oil is lovely too; it is so much better than having to twist off the lid with damp hands and pouring out the oil and getting the bottle all wet.
Responsible seller with great product
Happy to receive the MCT oil bottle which arrived well protected from breaking of the glass material, although there were some delays in the delivery. Have not tried the product yet for my bullet proof coffee but it already seems to be a good purchase based on the look and the descriptions. Will certainly consider ordering from the same seller who provided regular updates on the shipment of the products. Good customer experience!
