Had this microwave for 7 years, then the door switch messed up. Was told cheaper to buy new. Decided to buy the same one because the 24” is harder to find. I actually like the new one better than the original. Seems more efficient, so glad I did. Only had a month so will see.

I love this microwave so far. It's not installed yet and if I have any trouble I'll update this review. The digital controls are glass and not plastic so that's a major plus. It's smaller than average but it's a 24" microwave! It looks big on the outside and I'm excited to get it installed. The inside is large enough for a regular size dinner plate, a casserole dish and tall enough for a glass and/or coffee mug. Love it so far. If I'm able to upload photos to an update I will.Update: I've had this microwave for over a month now and even though it's not installed yet (renos take a while, this is NOT a counter top microwave) we're using it and seriously love it! I didn't think about updating this until today when I defrosted a hot dog bun in 20 seconds and it felt and tasted like it just came out of the oven! Super impressed and can't wait to get this kitchen finished! :)

Within 8 months the microwave started to turn on by itself and would not shut off. Called company and ended us at a tech place in China. life goes on this happened often. Unplug and replug. Then emailed company got a call back a few weeks later and warranty was over "last week". She said it sounded ,like the control panel was misfiring and to unplug it and wait for a 99.00 service call. Then they would estimate the cost of repair and if I wanted to repair it I could but if not they would give me a rebate towards a GE micro. 500 plus 99 plus cost to repair = way to much for junk. Never buying again. Watched a YouTube video and I can repair this myself after I get a part from my local appliance store. The assistant saw I emailed before warranty was over but because she did not see I called they would not uphold warranty. Update 2019 December Broke again. I did have a tech in my area fix it and it WAS the control panel where the buttons are. Took 20 minutes. Anyway, my expense ... that was Dec 2018. Same issue again one year later...I think when the steam rises from boiling water it shorts it out. Same exact issue. I have a call into Hair they said they are not open on the weekends and they will get back with me. Do not buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Came without items to install it I called and asked for help and they said to call back. I had to hire a professional and pay them $90.00 so he can buy parts and install it. Not happy that it cost me more money

Warranty 12 months. Door switch lasted 15 months. Haier says out of warranty, repair is my problem, not theirs. Door switch repair costs approximately what I paid for the appliance. Everything Haier is off my list from now on.

After four years of use, the oven one day issued what I initially took to be steam from the heating food. But when the same thing happened the following day, I opened the door and found there to be smoke issuing from beneath the rotating glass plate. The next day, when I turned on the oven, a fire, I presume associated with the out-of-sight motor powering the plate rotation, burned the plastic coupler connecting the motor to plate, and cracked the plate into 3 pieces.
