We bought that product after loosing our original. I was very disappointed to see that this does not work. It did not have a hole, so it was not backfilling properly. I was too nervous to let it finish running for fear that our machine would have problems, so we cut it after seeing the pressure max out twice. I'm not sure if ours was defective, but I would not recommend.

I have a Breville Infuser model BES840XL. My bad - I purchased the wrong disc. However, the correct disc I found on the Breville website for $1.98. Very little difference between the correct disc and this one. The pricing seems a little suspect to me.

This thing is supposed to have a little hole in it!
This backflush insert is supposed to have a little hole in it to relieve the pressure and allow a little flow out of the portafilter during the cleaning cycle.Do not use it unless you cut a hole in it approx 0.5mm in diameter or you will accomplish nothing.On the other hand this disc is also overpriced compared to a real Breville disc.Come to think of it, you should probably avoid this device and buy a genuine one.
Why isn't there a hole in this thing?
No hole means no flush. I don't get it.
