For most viper alarms this remote need to be programmed to channel 2. Follow these steps below to program your remote.1. Sit in driver side seat and open driver side door.2. Put key in ignition and turn the key to the on position (do not start the engine but turn to the position in which all electronics turn on in your vehicle)3. Press the button on the receiver of your alarm ONCE and then ON THE SECOND PRESS HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN UNTIL YOU HEAR THE ALARM CHIRP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN RELEASE THE BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER. (position may very depending where it was installed to but once found there should only be one button on the receiver)4. immediately after releasing the button on the receiver, press the lock button on the replacement key fob.5. Turn key back to the off position and remove it from the ignition. (You should hear the alarm chirp several more times)6. Close driver door and press the lock button on the replacement remote to test.Upon completing the steps above, your new remote should be programmed to work along side all the other remotes previously programmed to your alarm.If you don't succeed at first, try several times and eventually you'll get it...
