I would have given the product 5 stars because of its amazing performance but I don’t like the smell. It says it is supposed to be sandalwood but the only thing I smell is shea butter and cocoa butter. There is no hint of sandalwood. If it wasn’t for the smell of shea butter I’d buy it again.

This balm has a great scent but unlike others I’ve had, it’s watery and squirts out in small quantities…it takes 8 to get a enough for a thin layer on both hands.

Smells unnatural. Arrived with a broken bottle the first time, with liquid all over the packaging. Replacement has a quirky pump. The product that comes out is runny liquid, not a balm. I'm a wet shave purist. No plans of seeing the bottom of this bottle.

And no, it's not because you need to use more! Believe me, the basic two pumps is more than enough!Just like Rocky Mountain Barber's other shaving products this comes in a gorgeous aluminium container. There's just something about the way these guys package their shaving products that makes them so appealing to me as a man.I wasn't surprised by the quality of this aftershave balm or how well it works, because of my experience with the other products I already use from them, it soothes, it moisturises and keeps my face feeling amazing all day long, as I expected. But a couple of things that did surprise me, that I wasn't expecting, was just how long the aroma of sandalwood lasts on the face. It's not overpowering by any means, it just subtly lingers. Also, I was hugely impressed by how well this balm works into the face. Quickly warmed in the palms and then applied to the face, it instantly absorbs into the skin, no greasy or slimy residue what so ever, just a soft, revitalised and smooth aromatic face in seconds. For a product that contains all natural ingredients this stuff works ridiculously well.I've even taken things a step further over the past few days. I shave at night to free up a little morning time as I leave for work at 6am. So I've actually started applying a single pump of this aftershave balm, after washing in the morning, to act as a moisturiser. And oh man, it's working so well.

I’m into the second bottle . Great stuff. My face spends a lot of time with wind hitting it. As a result I need a good moisturizer. This product does a fine job of that. Second bottle I received leaked into the bubble wrap bag it came in. No problem. I can get it on my fingers out of the bag as easily as I can squirt it from the applicator. I’ll see how it comes the next time. There will be a next time. Thanks guys. Great product.
One bottle lasts a long time
I have been using this product for a few months now and it’s the best after shave product that I have ever used. It soothes the irritation after shaving and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. And my wife loves the Sandalwood scent. I’m looking forward to trying some of the other products offered by the Rocky Mountain barber company

I bought this aftershave balm for my other half for a present after reading the reviews. He was really pleased with it and loves how his skin feels after using it. He says the fragrance is lovely, not at all overpowering, and leaves his skin feeling silky soft and smooth. Would definitely recommend it and will be buying more in future.
