Tucked away nicely and sounds fantastic. Impressive bass from such a compact speaker. And it fits exactly into a pocket in the back of the passenger quarterpanel of a 1987-1991 Bronco. Perfect speaker for my application.My gain is at half and I used the wired control dial included, keeping that at 2/3 -3/4 usually.It does get hot after about an hour of play, as mentioned in some other posts. This would not deter me from buying another however. If you want to shake for more than an hour you need a bigger system anyway.I did install a small fan:https://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B072HJ38PS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I put this right next to it in the pocket and powered it off of the blue and black, so it starts blowing when the stereo fires up. Not sure how much it will help, but it looks nice, is quiet, and who cares.

I've always been a fan of Cerwin Vega speakers and I was in the market for a subwoofer but I don't have the space. I mounted this to the rear firewall of my truck and it sounds great! My current system is lacking the low side and this helped tremendously. I can't say that it will rattle the neighbors house or the car in the next lane but it does sound good. It was fairly easy to install but the plug for the power/ground/remote was a bit finicky, they are too close to each other and I was afraid it would short out it they should come in contact. The set screw used to anchor the wires are a little bit on the small size, even for 8awg wiring kit. I had to solder the end of the copper wired to make sure that I have a good connection that won't fall out of the harness. I would buy this again, highly recommended.

I’ll preface this review with that fact that I’m not a fan of powered subs. I prefer a separate amp and box setup. Put one of these in the back of my 98 Cherokee. Didn’t want a full-size box back there because I use the Cherokee as my beach truck. Stuff gets tossed in the back kind of haphazardly. But I needed some bass. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of build and the quality of sound this little guy puts out. If you’re expecting it to sound like a 10” in a box, this is not the sub for you. It doesn’t have that true thump a real boxed sub has. But... it definitely adds that low end punch to make your system bump. Seems well made. I like that it actually had terminal lugs for all your power/ground/remote inputs. A lot of powered subs just give you a wiring harness (that’s how the Rockville powered subs are). Fairly easy to setup and tune. My only real gripe was that the sub starts to bark around 3/4 volume. It’s not awful, was able to dial it back with the gains... but like I said, if you’re looking for slam... like good, hard hitting bass, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re looking for some better mid/low range, this absolutely fills the void. My beater Cherokee now sounds better than my gf’s brand new Grand Cherokee. I took 1 star off because it was packaged terribly. I’ve gotten boxes of paper that were packaged better than this piece of electronics. But that’s on Bolo, not Cerwin-Vega

First off, I never owned a car in which I had a sub added to its sound system. I was concerned this 200 RMS would not deliver the bass that I was looking for. This powered sub FAR exceed my expectations! I finally have the CLEAN BASS I was wanting!I compared Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, and few others, and Cerwin Vega was the one came on top as far as specs go. This was the ONLY sub that was priced right for me and it has the MOST RMS (200) compared to others. The others had a RMS range from 100 - 180 RMS.Things I'd like to pint out: 1. Sub settings come toned down. 2. Gain and bass set to about 20% capacity. 2. Enable full phase for booming clean base. 3. This Sub was installed on a '13 Subaru STI.My setup:-Subaru oem front tweeters-Pioneer AVH-1550NEX head unit-Alpine SPR-60 Type-R - front / back 6.5 speakers-Cerwin Vega 10" powered sub

If you’re not looking for glass rattling bass but want something clear to finish off the complete sound this unit won’t disappoint. Well worth the money. Def recommend..Added notes:I purchased this on Jan 14 and it made it to July 11 before blowing. Did it give me that extra bass I was looking for? Yes. It sounded great up til now. I didn’t think I’d need to buy the extended warranty with my experience I had in the past w Cerwin Vega. But it is what it is. I’m not saying don’t buy one but think about the warranty just in case. Yes I know it was under $200 but still wouldn’t think of it blowing this quickly. And no I didn’t have it full blast that often in case you were wondering..lolUpdate: I contacted the seller and is exchanging it for me. Super easy to deal with very quick responses. Very appreciative of the easy process.

I put it under the back seat of a 2019 ram 1500 with anc system. I wired it up and bypassed the anc system by de pining the mics under the drivers seat. If you don’t do this on a new ram with this system the subwoofer will give a loud feedback noise while driving. The truck is no more loud then with the anc system on. I’m not missing it. The subwoofer is extremely well built and sounds amazing. I compared it to the factory subwoofer the higher line trucks come with” but mine did not” and it sounds better with cleaner and louder sound. It fills in the low end without overpowering the factory speakers. If you are looking for a bit better then factory and don’t want to shake your Brains out this is the subwoofer for you. Best bang for the buck and easy to install if your handy with wiring and Electrical work. Very happy with purchasing this one. Had a alpine and it died after 2 months of use. Will update on longevity later. Ps it sounds way better then the alpine version.
