They keys pressed on the keyboard, did not coincide with what was typed. Turned off the typewriter and back on-worked perfectly from there on. Very nice product. Royal is an excellent brand. As I used to have a manual typewriter, same brand, 40 years ago. I advise everyone to buy this typewriter.

The product was as advertised but because of vision problems and arthritis in my hands i found i was unable to use it. I contacted the seller to ask to return it and get a refunnd. It did not come with return labels. They did not respond to my request.

Love my typewriter!

There are several things I like about this typewriter. Its not bulky or heavy so its easy to move and to store. The cord has its own storage compartment for when you aren't using it which is a nice feature. If you ever used an electric typewriter in the days before computer printers you'll catch right on to its features. The only thing I didn't like it that it refuses to feed a sheet a paper into the roller straight. You have to loosen the roller and manually straighten each piece of paper you insert. You would think that after all the years typewriters have been produced that Royal would know how not to have that problem.

Top quality mechanically and it really erases better than I have had with my Selectric II.This is the typewriter to buy, but not if you type 90 wpm like I do.

My IBM Selectric died and I really wanted a new one to replace it. Fortunately this was the perfect match.
This this typewriter has a smooth action and comfortable to use.
I cannot say that there is something in particular that I dislike about this typewriter, and, it would be presumptuous of me to rate this item, because, it has many features which I am not yet familiar with.For now, it is used just for typing, and, I am very satisfied with the smooth touch and precision it, so far.
