Prime-Line Aluminum Screen Frame comes with 20 pieces constructed from 0.020 inch thick aluminum, measures 72 inch in length and features a durable white finish. Use with Prime-Line MP7729 5/16 inch x 3/4 inch square cut plastic corners to create high quality and easy to assemble window screens. The lineal pieces of the high-quality aluminum screen frame material are intentionally cambered (curved) outward, designed to prevent inward bowing when screen cloth is installed and stretched taut. With the quality aluminum frame materials, screens can easily be made with your choice of materials, including a solar screen fabric to create effective and energy-efficient sun screens. Prime-Line aluminum screen frames are constructed with a thicker spline channel for added support. Recommended spline sizes: 0.185 inch for standard fiberglass cloth, 0.165 inch for aluminum screen and 0.155 inch for solar screen and pet screen. For screens over 48 inch in height or width, a spreader bar is recommended in combination with spreader bar clips to prevent the screen from bowing in (Prime-Line items MP14138 and MP7794).

Overall sturdy, very good price. Only negative was some pieces had dome dings in them and the end cuts were not perfect 90 degrees. Still buying all the components, frame, corners, springs, stine and screen much cheaper than having a screen made. Cost came out to a little over $22 a window versus having custom made at $135-$150 a window.

This is my 2nd time ordering this product first time frames were badly bowed sent them back they sent me another order they were good ,this time they double boxed the frames they had a slight bow i didn’t want to wast time sending them back i managed to use them

Replaced my old screens with solar screens. These frame pieces are good quality and easy to work with. I was able to cut them all with a miter box and hacksaw.To make the screens I used 5/16 screen frames, 0.155 diameter spline and the 5/16 stamped aluminum frame corners. I used Phifer SuperSolar screens.Came out really nice and I can already tell a difference in both sun glare and heat transfer through the windows.

The screens that came from the window manufacturer were bowed like an hourglass. I was especially impressed and relieved that those I made with this product came with a slight bow. After constructing a jig to hold and build the frames (ten 5 x 5 screens) they came out perfectly. Great product packaged perfectly and fast delivery. I also bought corners and spline from the same manufacturer.

It had a slight bend to the stick. However, it is bent in the correct way. It adds the right resistance when stretching the screen and ends up straight in long runs. In short runs it is not an issue because it is not visible at all.

Mine were sent with no wrap at all on the ends, just loose in a long cardboard box. When I opened I thought I'd definitely be cutting that end down to size, but it turned out that was the better-looking end.They seem structurally fine and this length is not easily available locally, so I'll just do the extra work of cutting on BOTH ends to get my size right. Screen frames are not something I really think about for cosmetics, but my set is in unexpectedly poor shape. Other sets I've gotten from local stores are bundled in plastic wrap on both ends and a very light cardboard cap, but that's enough for them to look flawless in comparison.

We used this frame to make new screens for our 20 year old mobile home, whose screens were cheap when new and obliterated with age. This screen frame is really nice - very sturdy but easy to work with. The corners we bought (same brand) are so much more sturdy than what had disintegrated in our old screens and were very easy to install in the cut frames. We found a rubber mallet came in very handy to seat them. Overall we are very satisfied with these DIY screen-making products and have enjoyed a nice Saturday project. We purchased pet-grade screen that our cats (hopefully) won't destroy so we can let fresh air in and keep the bugs out. We highly recommend these products.
