Set up was easy. Everything you need is included (minus the gravel and decorations, of course). Filter is the quietest aquarium filter I've ever heard. Heater kicks on and off like it should. The lights brighten everything beautifully. It's been set up for one month, with one filter pad change, and as you can see from pics, water is crystal clear. I highly recommend this product.

The tank came in perfect condition and packing was amazing since it had glass! the tank is the perfect size for my kid to handle his first fish! everything was easy to put together and very easy for any 10 year old to handle on their own!

10 out of 10 would recommend this kit. My kids got goldfish from the carnival so this was the perfect setup for them. It was easy to assemble and get it going.

Overall, this is a very nice tank. The pros: (1) well made. I like the lights built in to the lid. The lights are adequate for my low tech plants. (2) There is a little hatch so you can feed your fish. (3) It has all the necessary cut outs for tubing, cords, etc.The cons: (1) the filter flow is way to strong, and there is no adjustment on the filter to slow it. My tiny fish were blowing around like popcorn. High flow stresses out many fish. I ended up removing the filter and replacing it with 2 sponge filters on either side of the tank, which solved the issue. (2) I replaced the heater with a better quality one I had on hand. The kit heater was very inconsistent. After 24 hrs, it was fluctuating 2-3 degrees.Eith the exception of the heater, I am very happy with looks and functions of this tank.

The media could not be loaded. Great tank! We started with a rounded 3 gallon and soon after upgraded to this. The fish seem to like this shape more! Perfect size for a few fish to have a nice home, we currently have two tetras, a corydora, small tetra, and a bottom feeder. Could probably get 1-2 more but their all very happy at this number. Filter works great and the whole system is easy to care for. Not loud and just a sweet little water sound, like a mini fountain. Great for kids, or adults that want to get into fish tanks.

This product has been great for me! The filter works, and the tank has never leaked. The light works. The filter is quiet as long as you keep the water level in the tank high. It was easy for me to set up. Worked great for my small school of tetras in a college dorm (where 10 gal is the maximum size allowed). I actually broke mine (completely my own fault, but it did survive moving in and out of the dorm several times before that, so pretty sturdy), and bought an identical tank because I am happy with it. The set up worked so well I managed to accidentally have two batches of tetra babies.

This is the first week with new tank. The heater that came with the tank would consistently turn off/on depending on if you moved the cord or just looked at it. So we threw that away. Luckily we had a heater from our last tank. There is A LOT of glue all over the tank. It is not the prettiest. I will say that so far the pump is quiet and I did not have any leaks. I wish that the cover would be easier to open and not just one giant piece of plastic when I need to get into it. I also wish it had more light options. For a beginner tank, there should be options for light for different fish, especially for the kiddos to see/use. I ended up buying an additional light since we had glo fish. All in all it really isn’t a great beginner tank. Broken pieces and too simplistic lighting. I'd rather spend a little more money and get something better.

Fish died ,air pump was not enough, mine turn on,un adverted.it not supposed to turn on,filter never worked,so I installed two instead of 1
The filter stopped working after 5 months

The media could not be loaded. Me gusto, hermoso, el agua se ve muy clara, las luces da un toque vivido. El calentador por vivir en Cancún y estar ahora a los 30 grados Celsius no se lo puesto. El termómetro es una calcomanía. Las instrucciones vienen en inglés. La bomba de filtración no es ruidoso. Se requiere dos enchufes, una para el filtro de cascada y otra para la tapa con luz led que trae un botón de encendido y apagado. Trae todo lo indicado en el kit. Cómo trae solo un cartucho de carbón activo y una esponja para el control del amoniaco, he comprado mas a parte porque deben ser reemplazados cada mes. La arena, plantas y accesorios de mi pecera fueron comprados a parte. Ampliamente lo recomiendo.
