I don't know how well this electrode holder will perform over time but I've used other Tweco electrode holders for several years and never had an issue with them. I didn't need one quite this large but bought it for the extra room, just to make sure I'll have no trouble gripping it with my gloves on.

when I tried to tighten the allen screw that connects the welding cable to the electrode holder, it was going in crooked, so I contacted the seller 3 times, no response, so after a week, I needed my welder, to I tightened it in crooked & it worked & welds perfectly. Unfortunately, I had to tighten so violently (I was expecting it to strip due to the force I applied) that it will never come out again for replacement, but I will have to cut the cable. Not a big deal, but it really sucks when the seller doesn't contact you.
Better than expected.
I was never able to create an arc properly with 7018 3/32 electrode on my yeswelding machine and just by replacing this stinger from the cheap one that came with machine, I was not only able to easily scratch an arc but make a very nice welding bead on first pass. I am excited to now focus on my technique and not the bad accessories of my welder.
Does the job
Excellent stinger for experienced welders. Comes with extra guards, that’s always nice. I’m a fabrication welder so I’m used to twist on stingers, but I live in Canada so I’m sick of my twist on’s freezing and corroding. This unit is the solution. Excellent build quality and a simple spring closure. Worth every penny in this climate.
